By far, the best Greek restaurant in Manhattan! Being a Athens-borned Greek myself, I had enough of the so-called Greek (bastardized) restaurants. At last, I can now take my American friends and taste what real Greek food is all about. The interior is very Medet. chic, the service is super friendly and the food is to die for. As far as the prices, unmbeliavable inexpensive. A not-to miss restaurant (does my review sounds like an informercial?:-)

"Fantastic, indigenous app's and entrees with the proper mixture of authentic herbs and spices to take delight. The all-Greek wine list should not be taken lightly and the staff will complement any course with the proper bottle to please any palate. Only Greek restaurant in U.S. that three words can sum up: 'I shall return.'"
Since reopening as Pylos, this Greek restaurant is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. The understated, inviting elegance provides a perfect setting for a gathering of friends and the enjoyment of a variety of delicious appetizers and entrees. Bring an appetite and a desire to share the wealth. The staff is always attentive. And don't overlook brunch on weekends.

By 2004, this Greenwich Village newcomer shall easily become NYC's top rated Greek restaurant in Zagat's. Designed for palates of all kinds, Pylos delivers bona fide Greek culinar and atmosphere. Each visit is a new treat. A true Aphrodite.

Not like any other greek restaurant, most dishes are amazing and very unusual. The grilled octopus is an absolut tastebud teaser. The interior is straight out of Greece, great lighting
