    Great service, great food!

Tonight was our 3rd visit to Puttanesca. With each visit the experience gets better. Our reservation was late (9:30PM) yet the service was outstanding! We requested 2 dishes that were not on the menu and the waiter came through with our requests. The food was delicious! It was my mother-in-law's birthday and they endured the extended laughter and singing even when we were the last table. Great Restaurant!

    No more

Been going there for years. Shoot a tv show in the area and have sent hundreds of people there over the years. Last night walked in at 430pm, barely empty. Rude hostess and manger wouldn't sit us without a reservation. Last straw in a changing attitude and declining food.. No more. Don't go!

    Disappointing

The food and wine is tasty and is served in fairly large portions too. However, the waiter was nosy and unprofessional. He interrupted my dinner numerous times to ask inappropriate questions while trying to flirt with me and my sister. We literally had to rush through dinner. Because we liked the food we later order in but our experience the second time around was disappointing. I ordered a tricolori salad which looked like its been sitting in the fridge for a week and had a chunk of bacon thrown on to looking just about as fresh. The carbonara pasta had way to much pepper actually lots of pepper and unusually greasy. Eat in is fine as long as you don't mind intrusive waiters BUT delivery wont be worth your money.

    Best AYCD brunch!

Best place to go for all you can drink brunch - you pay $12 additional to any brunch item for unlimited drinks, no time limit. I go here at least once a month - great service

    Very Pleased!!

Took 5 for dinner pre Lincoln Center for wife's birthday. Could not have been nicer. Waiter was excellent, non obtrusive, did not rush us. Everybody at our table was very satisfied with the food and my wife was especially pleased with the quality of the relatively inexpensive wine we chose. Highly recommend this place, would go back in a heartbeat!

    Christmas dinner disappointment

I finally ate at this neighborhood restaurant. We were seated at a table inches away from a cold, drafty window so we moved. The waitress said exactly 3 things to us: "Can I get you something to drink?", "Are you ready to order?", " Do you want to see the dessert menu?". She never checked to see if everything was alright, never poured more wine from the bottle and didn't even say a word to us when she returned with the receipt. I left a 10% tip. She probably hated working on Christmas but could have made the best of it and gone home with a lot more money. Even the table next to us said they were disappointed in the service. The food tasted as if it all came out of a jar or a frozen packet. My first and last visit to this place, for sure!
