service...
I live in the neighborhood and Puttanesca is a favorite, but last week the service was so awful I will never return there again. Inattentive and rude waiters never checked on us, brought dessert menus, or refilled our water or coffee. Then, at the end, when the bill arrived with an incorrect charge, the waiter refused to remove it, telling me "it's only three dollars, anyway." I wrote to the restaurant describing my experience and have not received any kind of response. There are lots of lovely restaurants in my neighborhood, Italian and otherwise. Don't go to this one.

Service where art thou?
You could get better service at an Olive Garden or TGI Fridays....a few highlights of our "service" were marked by constantly having the back of our chairs bumped by the wait staff, leaving our empty water glasses for half the meal and generally ignoring us in every way possible. To top it off the salt shaker had more personality than our waiter, who said all of five sentences to us the entire meal. Food, was okay but nothing to get excited about nor will I remember it two days from now. If you are considering this restaurant push the eject button and head somewhere else.

Waitresses
We went this past Saturday night and our party of 8 were seated immediately at about 10 pm with no reservations. Food was good and the prices very reasonable but the waitress service was so unpersonable and even have attitudes.

Subpar Service
Went to Puttanesca on Saturday evening after a matinee, arrived at about 7:20. We were seated promptly, server took the drink order and never came back to see if we wanted another glass of wine, in fact never came back again until he asked if we wanted dessert. Food was just okay, they seemed to be catering to large parties. If you are only 2 people, you are in trouble. For the neighborhood price is good but again, poor service. Dissatisfied.

Wtf?
I've been to Puttanesca once before and vaguely remembered the overall service but thought the pasta I had was pretty good. Made reservations for 5 and they put us in a corner by the windows, that's ok. But the waiter did manage to neglect us quite a bit..it took about 10 minutes for anyone to come to our table for drink order. Appetizers/salads were pretty good but the pastas were terrible. The puttanesca was TOO salty, the gnocchi was way overcooked and my spaghetti w/ meatballs was so boring and tough. The desserts were not very impressive either. Will not come again for Italian.

Plates, glasses, cups utensils are very
The food was good. But the service was bad. The glasses and the utensils had dried food particles and lip sticks and the cups had coffee stain on them. After what we saw, we never ever go there again. . If you wan't to eat there, take it on your own risk for health reason.

amazing! delicious!
Great service. Great food. Great price. The two of us has unlimited beverages and delicious belgian waffles and french toast. For all you can drink beverages and a scrumptious breakfast you only spend $15 a person. In New York City that is a steal. I started with a mimosa then had a bloody mary, my breakfast was served, the most delicious french toast with freshly sliced strawberries and powdered sugar, and finished off with a glass of champagne, all for $15. Ridiculous. The service was great and the dining room is beautifully set with an unbelievable amount of sunlight that makes you feel like you are outside but in air conditioning. Great place. Will definitely be back with friends and family. Might actually turn into a regular there.
