    A Bright Breakfast

If there is one place Id want to have breakfast, it would be at the Purity Diner. I order a variety of different things and its very filling. I order things such as pancakes, scrambled eggs, toast, homefries, bacon, coffee, French toast, etc. And the service is great, that is one of the things I love about this place. Okay, let me just put it this way: The food is great, the service great, the food is expensive but I could see why and especially the design (they have old pictures and they're fun to look at). This is a great place to eat for Breakfast and I highly suggest you try it. Thank you

    Purity only wants the money

They used to care. They used to make great food. Then - something happened and the quality of the food went WAY DOWN. There is one woman who answers the phone and speaks to you as if you interrupted something she really wants to get back to (and the order is usually messed up - one thing or another). I called back on one occasion and she was ARGUING with me - it was MY order, MY money and I'M THE BAD GUY because I called about an incorrect order? So I called back and asked to speak to a Mgr (don't know if she was the mgr) but let me just say that I was NOT satisfied with how it ended. The delivery people act like you owe them more (I usually give $4-5 each delivery - for only a few blocks) - yet - somehow I've imposed on them somehow. I've used them since, but sparingly. If they are closed - I am NOT surprised.

    Are you serious?

I have been in this neighborhood for almost 20 years. Purity is just heading down the tubes. I'm not sure if lil purity is still open but how can the review beneath me say you guys kill me ordering roast beef and pasta parm, this place isn't a steak house? Note to post beneath me and all. Diners.. all diners have roast beef and meat sandwiches. Try the sautees and roast beef plates at The Fifth Avenue Diner. Try a Roast beef plate at Daisys. They are actually good. This place isn't a burger bar, it's a diner. I live on 8th Avenue and take the trip all the way to 5th for a decent meal. Fifth Avenue Diner and Daisys blow Purity away. P.S. the burger at Purity is dry. Tell the cooks not to press the hell out of it for a well done burger, it just dries it out. There prices are also way more than the other diners in the area.I won't bash their servers though. They were actually doing a very well job. Too sum it all up, the few times I've been there, it has just been a real downer.

    ITS A DINER PEOPLE!

little purity is reasonable and you people kill me ordering roast beef and or an linguini parmesean from ANY diner... its a diner people! not a 4 star steakhouse... breakfast and burgers are what diners do best and there's nothing wrong with either of these locations...

    No real butter?!

My favorite diner meal is eggs over easy, rye toast no butter. I always ask for the butter served seperately on my toast because I don't like margarine. I was very disappointed to receive a little white cupful of what looked like margarine when I recently placed my order. When I asked the waiter if it was butter or margarine he replied it was a combination of both and that was all they served. Cross this place off my list! What diner doesn't carry little packets of butter, real butter. Is that too much to ask for?

    Disappointed Diners

My boyfriend and I were quite disappointed with the food. All we wanted was a nice, warm meal on a chilly night instead, we got dry roast beef au jus (sans jus because they don't have it..hmm???) and rubbery chicken that was drowning in oil. Both meals were lukewarm and tasteless. With so many other nice dining options, you should definitely go for something else. We wanted to give this place a try, but that was a mistake. To top it off, the manager was rude to us as we were paying for our disappointing meal.
