The best food I have had in New York. Simple, low in oils, clean, like home cooked food, plus the rates are reasonable. Doesn't hurt your pocket. I have made it a point to eat here as ofen as I can. Great for take out. Speak to Atul if you have any problem he's a very helpful guy. I will keep going back...

Decided to check this place out yesterday...I had the shimla mirch and two samosas...the samosas were really great, just greasy enough and flavorful...the shimla mirch was spicy and hearty and stuck to my ribs. The portions were REALLY generous for the money, and I could only eat about 2/3 of the meal because I was so stuffed. I had planned on eating there but the tiny restaurant smelled very strongly of Indian food and I'm really not a fan of that smell so I got takeout, and the food was made fresh in a very short time. Staff was friendly enough. I will definitely be going back.

I've tried many Indian restaurants...in NJ and NY.. and long for authentic food in an authentic Indian atmosphere. Desi Junction fits all that and more-- we found it by accident getting lost in Manhattan on a rainy night, on Thansgiving day. What a find! The food was so authentic and exquisite... the people were so nice.... the place is charming. It seems genuinely to be a junction for Indians..and I feel like I'm in a place in Delhi right there. Their platter is great.. all freshly prepared .. and what a bargain. This place is a gem.. not flashy... but with a simple charm that is all India.

I found the food here to be the most authentic, delicious and amazing.Simply awesome!!If someboday wants to try the real flavors of INDIA , this is the place. . I found the service good and the management caring for their customers. I would suggest if u wanna have value for money and a real punjabi food try this !! u will not be disappointed.Try the panenr specialities..my fav is panner makhani and the bread basket is a good choice instead of ordering various breads....Karela, golgappe, bhelpuri n pavbhaji..((rare to get in NYC ....) reminds me of HOME.....feels like back home after tasting food from here....
