Punjabi Tadka

The food here is excellent. However, this is mainly a take out and delivery place. There are a few tables at which you can sit. You are served on plastic plates, with plastic utensils. You get a plastic cup for water, and your other drinks are served in a plastic cup with a straw. We went on a cold evening and every time the door opened, a blast of cold air blew in, despite the cloth hanging over the door. People were constantly in and out, the delivery guy and workers who wanted to access the basement through the entrance outside in the front. So take out or get delivery here, but don't eat here.

Punjabi Tadka in Hell's Kitchen has delicious Indian food from the North of India. We had the veggie samosa, chana saag, baingan bharta, papadam, and garlic nan. Everything was fantastic! We will definitely go back! The owner is friendly and they just renovated the place. The styrofoam plates and plastic utensils are tacky, but this doesn't take away from how delicious the food is. Also everything is reasonably priced. We spent $30 (not including tip), which is reasonable for 2 people and also what we normally spend on Indian food. I really suggest you try it because you'll want to keep going back!

Despite having the best indian food in Hell's kitchen, this place was missing the atmosphare.... but those days were gone. Finally i can have the most authentic indian food in very clean and rennovated air-cooled environment. Those old carpet on the wall has been turned into artistic marbles! New floor, New Bathroom, perfect curtain, and all decorative lights.....Punjabi Tadka got like a rebirth ! Now, perfect for cool dine in. Food is always best here. now, after rennovation....the place would be hottest in 10th ave...no doubt. Cheers....fellow dinners for 10 avenue's indian icon.

This is one of the best places to order Indian food in the Times Square/Theater District area. It is always fresh and seasoned well like traditional homemade food. I have to order it at least once a week, and I've gotten many of my co-workers hooked right along with me. As for dining in the restaurant itself don't look for any ambience. It's just a good 'ole round the way place to get good eats!

Nice Indian food and all curries dont taste the similar! They are authentic... Not a place to dine in but good to take away or order...

This place really has the Most Authentic punjabi food. The Butter chicken is unbelievable tasty, i order it every single week. Food is delivered fresh and its consistently yummy.
