don't bother
start off with the hostess who wears too much perfume, and not a good one. the waitress was not even close to semi intelligent. all I wanted was there salad and instead of chicken or shrimp on top, there hanger steak. that was an extremly challenging thing for them. Not only did they not get it right, it was terrible. The service terrible, and they were'nt nice. no reason to return. you should think twice before going there. you're better off at any other place...this neighborhood is loaded with great places!

We will NEVER return
Tiny portions of mediocre food. a sandwich at $14 looked like a kiddie portion. we didn't want more of this disappointing food , but we certainly wanted to pay less..

best value in gramercy
punch is our go-to place for delicious, reasonable food in the neighborhood. adore their salads, short ribs, and fish specials. and, don't miss out on deserts - Yum!

disappointing
Service was poor. We waited 1.5 hours for our food. They barely gave us extra bread while we waited and maybe refilled our drinks once during that time. The tables were so close together and I could not move my chair. The food was mediocre at best. Portions are tiny. Super overpriced.

Delicious food, fantastic value!
Punch is one of those NYC secrets that needs to be let out of the bag! The food is consistently great, and the daily specials are seasonally driven and can easily compete with the fine dining establishments in the neighborhood. Furthermore, Punch is a great spot for a group dinner, or for a dinner date. Plus, it won't drain your bank account, which means you can enjoy appetizers, entrees, deserts, maybe even some cheese... We will be back!

love the drinks; not tried the food
Love the Blood Orange Punch and the Ginger Cosmos. Never tried the food there - have always sat right at the bar. I think their beer selection is awful. I would go for the drinks. And, the bartenders are great.

Needs work
The food is just ok. They totally overcook the turkey burger. Every time I've gone here the server forgets something we've ordered. The person who takes your order isn't necessarily the person who brings the food so they often don't know who gets what and are defensive about it. They just seem flustered and often can't tell you the ingredients of certain dishes. Just not well trained. The food? As you can tell it's not the most noticeable thing about the place. But try it. Maybe I've just had subpar experiences.
