    Disappointed in many ways....

My wife and two friends of ours were visiting NYC. We ate the night before in Little Italy, and the food was great! We decided to try it again on Friday (10/26/12) the next night and got a recommendation from a guy on the street in Little Italy that was a manager of the restraunt we went to the night before. Anyway, we got bread, zucchini slices and cheesticks for an appetizer. Cheesticks, bread and zucchini were good....waiter was nice and friendly. Food came 1 hour later...which is "ok. Before that though.. a man started playing Italian songs on an electric piano very loudly. Luckily they were catchy toons...annoying...but ok. Then the dude started haggling us for tips for playing afterwards! Ok...gave him some money..whatever. Food...sucked! I had the Rigatoni pizza....horrible...only had riggatoni and a little mozzarella. My wife had a lemon chicken with spaghetti. That was salty as crap. My friends had 2 pizzas as well...same scenario...not much cheese...and a lot of cheap add ons. So.....we ate...it sucked..then the bill came. They charged for every refill of diet coke, and the waiter added $17 dollars to our bill for his tip...he wrote it in himself! The total bill was 118 dollars! What an unprofessional way to do business. So, bottom line....save time, money, your ears, and your frustration....go somewhere else in Little Italy...Thank you.

    I would definitely recommend Puglia's!

Could've gone anywhere for lunch, even the very trendy Meat Packing district, but chose Puglia's. The food was really, really good. My daughter's eggplant parm w/spaghetti was the finest I've ever tasted...sorry Mom! And where else in NYC can you get really good and plentiful food for 10.50 - and it was for 3 courses!!!!! You can't go wrong. I will go back the next time I'm in NYC. :)

    Best pizza

My grandson and I shared a white pizza with broccoli topping. This was the best pizza I had in many, many years. Will definitely go back again.

    returning customer

My boyfriend took me here on our first date and loves to bring me back every christmas season. We love this place because of the easy going atmosphere. Jorge always comes to sing which makes us laugh and have a great time. The food isn't too expensive and is typical Italian food, but its what is inside the restaurant that I believe will make you smile. If you want a fun place to bring friends and you are not looking for a quiet dinner this is the place to be!

Very Disappointing...will definitely not be returning

on 9/25/2010, 6 of us went to Puglia for dessert and drinks during the San Gerrino festival. It was our first time eating at this restaurant, and we had high hopes for the food, service and atmosphere. Everything was a total let down. For starters, we ordered Sangria which was the most disgusting tasting drink I have ever tasted. The waiter agreed to replace it, giving as an explanation that the bar tender was drunk. Every dessert we wanted to order from their menu was "out of stoc", leaving us with slim pickings. We ordered the american cheesecake and the molten chocolate cake. The cheesecake was grocery quality at best, and the molton chocolate cake was rubbery, cold, and not baked the day it was served. We ordered a latte and mochacino, only to be told they didnt have it, 25 minutes after we ordered. What they failed to tell us was that they did have a cappucino. Dont get me started with the service, we had to keep looking for our server who often disappeared into the back room of the restaurant. He even forgot to give us our bill which was had asked for, and it was only because he saw all of us staring at him while he tucked into his dinner that he remembered he was our server. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting and dirty. Over all it was expensive and absolutely lousy, I would not ever eat here, unless you want to be out of money and have the worst possible experience in little Italy. The fried oreos I bought from one of the carts was a better value for money.
