This place rocks.The bartender is the best, who advises the most perfect pairings

Recently visited this restaurant given its proximity to Grimaldi’s and lack of desire to wait in an hour long line for pizza. Inside there is a small bar and area for restaurant seating, and was pleasantly surprised by nice, spacious, and shady garden which provided a much more enjoyable atmosphere for lunch. First ordered some cocktails which were fine but unremarkable. Unfortunately, rest of the culinary experience quickly moved from acceptable to terrible. Tried few different things and shocked how everything was so bad. Specifically, started with Mac and Cheese (tasteless goop coated with nearly raw bread crumbs) and Sweet potato wedges (huge chunks of nearly raw sweet potato which were neither sweet nor had any other discernable flavor; basically inedible). Then we had Veggie Wrap (average so guess that’s better than the apps; came with bland fries) and the Fish Wrap (generous portion of lettuce coupled with small amount of unseasoned and unappetizing Mahi Mahi (at least that is what the menu claimed)). The most flavorful thing we tried may have been the pickles served on the side! The one bright spot (other than the pleasant surroundings) was the waitress who was helpful and at least comped one of the apps (although regret paying anything for the overpriced cafeteria food). To summarize – go here for drinks and to sit outside but skip the food.

Had cocktails and dinner here and couldn't have had a better experience. The service was impeccable. They were friendly without being gratingly cloy. Very different from the attitude one can get in similar Manhattan restaurants. The food is wonderful and the atmosphere very welcoming. I would definitely go back!

The service was excellent, everyone was very friendly. The food was great. Love the atmosphere. The only thing they need to do is sell Pub 1 tshirts. They are missing out on a good opportunity.

We went when they first opened last year and I didn't like it. They ripped out all the plants in the outdoor "garden" and replaced it with wood paneling. Bad ambience and food. They'd need to improve greatly to get us to go back.

First off, the location of Pub One is amazing, especially if you go at night, the view of the city down by the water is amazing. But more importantly the restaurant itself. The drinks are delicious! I highly recommend The Garden. The caprese like salad was outstanding with the white balsamic on it. I had the portabella mushroom burger (stuffed with goat cheese!!) with sweet potato wedges (make sure to get more white balsamic on the side to dip your fries in!) and my friend had the lamb burger also stuffed with goat cheese and this delicious mint ketchup! The food was to die for. We also had a cheese fondue, dipping the sweet potato in there, brilliant! And of course we had dessert, the cheesecake, it’s just enough to fulfill your sweet tooth, I highly recommend it. The staff is great and the atmosphere is more than welcoming. They have a great patio area which will be very enjoyable come the warm weather.

almost nailed it...almost. we really wanted to like this place, but they made it so hard. After a few solid meals-went totally downhill. 1st delivery-they delivered 3 undercooked, raw burgers. then the manager told us she would comp the 3 burgers and send over a gift cheque, which never came....we gave it another shot, again, screwed up the order. Their other places in the city are so good, guess it's just brooklyn schwag, and it's ok to be mediocre on this side of the river. :( yes, it's just food, but it's not free.
