Yummy sliders and delicious house ale!
Great atmosphere. Cool decor. Comfortable little cafe. The Prohibition ale is delicious. A little expensive but every once in a while won't break the bank. Enjoy!

best UWS bar
A nice retreat from all the terrible frat bars on the UWS. Always fun and a good mix of different ages. I've always gotten friendly service and the food is good. Only complaint is that lately when I've been going I've seen that a lot of the tables are "reserved" and the back room is always taken up by a private party, which is becoming annoying.

fun, casual, great live music every time
Live music is consistently great! Fun atmosphere. Not a quiet romantic restaurant. go with a date you already know, have a drink and dance until they close!

Used to be a good place
This is used to be a great place. The last three times I went there, I have received nothing but a long wait and total attitutude for the service people there. It used to have a downtown feel, seven years ago, now it is my least favorite on the UWS. I can't believe it is the same place. The last three things there, there have been major problems. This is place is not the same place it was 5 years ago. The wait staff couldn't be more rude and grubby.

A lot of fun
This place is a real mix of ages and types and a lot of fun because of it. The food is good too! The service is perfect.

Good food, atmosphere, people but....
Love the mini-burgers and chicken sandwiches. Servers are really nice and fun. Good environment, especially on weekends with live music. Called the other day to get a delivery, but they said they do not deliver "over that far". I live at 85th and West End! Oh well, maybe I just don't feel like walking over that far from now on. Plenty of other great places in UWS.

Best Time Ive Had In Years!
We went to Prohibition on a Saturday night in Feb 2007. We were hoping for a nice night out with some friends, but we got much, much more. They have live music each night of the week. On the Saturday we were there, a band calling themselves "The Gilfords" started to play around 10:30pm. This band started playing songs that I haven't heard in years from the 80's. Favorites from the Cars, Guns & Roses, Journey....and many more. To say our group had a blast would be a understatement...the place was packed with a mostly young professional crowd 25-45 ish and everyone was having a great time. Before I knew it..it was 3am... we would have stayed for breakfast if we could have! They have great food and a great specialty drink selection at Prohibition. I recommend you call ahead to reserve a table. We go out in Manhattan quite a bit..and let me tell you..this place is the best time we've had in a long time...Highly Recommended!!
