Great place, poor food
This is a great neighborhhood bar, and as a New Englander, I was so happy to find a place to watch all the games. Bartenders and waitresses are great, excellent atmoshpere, just a lot of fun. The downside is the food. It's bad - have tried brunch (cold eggs) , bar food like chicken fingers (overcooked and dry), burger raw in the middle. It's a shame because the atmoshpere is just great. Go to drink and have fun but don't count on decent food.

decent place, subpar service
here are a list of pros and cons about this place: lots of TVs but NO HD-connection. There's atleast 5 flat screen, HD-ready TVs in the bar but they do not have a HD box so needless to say, high resolution, greater pixelation Once the place gets crowded, the services drops considerably. It's quite apparent that the servers don't have the ability to handle huge parties/crowds, and have issues multi-tasking. We were having to constantly ask for status updates on our orders through out the night Bar food was great. Great variety of food to choose from. As expected, its a sports bar so it most definitely gets crowded and if you don't get there early enough to secure a seat, you will be standing....

Gotta love this place
The previous posts aren't exaggerated at all. By far the best thing about this place is the service. I used to live in the area and went often, esp during Sox games. I've since moved, and went back recently to check it out, and it was like I'd never left. Great, great service, and the beer selection on tap is phenomenal (unless you prefer bud light). Try a Delirium, and never look back. Go Sox!

Pros at the professor
Po thoms has a old time feel,the staff is what brings you back in time and the following day. The food at thoms is ok but its just pub grub. The bosox thing is overplayed but the good out plays the bad.If you stop by professor thoms see the bartender he is all the above,a real pro.

Good place, nice people, sports, and the bartender jim is adorable...some of the girls are nice as well.

Great Fun
Loved the Professor. Besides the great beer's the foods great to. Try the pizza and the shrimp won-tong. Actually everything is really good. Just a happy place to be.
