I've eaten here three times since it opened right after Labor Day: one breakfast and two dinners. Everything has been wonderfully delicious. My first meal was basic: scrambled eggs, home fries and toast. The basics are the hardest to get right, and Prince Cafe nailed it. I haven't tried the omelettes, but the combinations sound amazing (crab and sweet corn? duck confit and english peas? Mmm, I can just imagine what those taste like). Tonight my girlfriend and I split a roasted carrot ginger soup and two of the inventive wraps, one with miso-glazed salmon and wild rice and one with shrimp, avocado and cilantro. Oh, and two chocolate cookies. Everything was amazing. The chef has a gourmet pedigree (having worked previously at One If By Land Two If By Sea), and it shows in the food. However, nothing on the menu is more than about $12, so the price-value ratio is off the charts. Fabulous food, great prices and the place is open 7 days from 8am to midnight. The menu is so extensive you could easily eat here every day and not get bored. This location has been cursed, but Prince Cafe deserves to succeed and end the curse.
