Primo pizza is one of the best pizza places I've been to in NYC

Phil has a way with soups. His house soup (spinach and egg drop) is fantastic, but the daily specials are out of this world. His avocado soup, minestrone, sweet potato soup, and lentil soup are the best. And be sure to get an order of the avocado and artichoke salad if it is available. The pizzas are great too. There is a "salad pizza" which sounds really weird (especially when they ask you if you want it hot), but is actually really good either cold or hot. My personal favorite is the marinara pizza. I could eat it every day! GF and DF options are available.

I realize that the Upper West Side is not known for fabulous pizza places, but Primo's was unspeakably subpar. We ordered the super thin crust pizza -- it was nothing more than a supermarket variety of tortilla with a thin layer of bland cheese and unmemorable sauce. It also arrived cold. Pathetic.

The elegance of the caramelized onions contrasted with the ranch sauce on buffalo ranch slice is enough for Phil to rest on his laurels but he pushes the envelop and never disappoints.

Ask Phil to make you the cream corn pizza...you won't regret it!

Although they don't serve any slices with the traditional pizza meats(pepperoni, sausage, etc), that does not equate to an absence of tastes to fill varying palates. From their salad pizza to taco to the new "grandma's pizza," this place provides amazing pizza with exceptional service. Ask for Phil, he'll take care of you.
