That's what my neighbor and Prime Meats co-owner Frank asked me one chilly night last month. Once I accepted his offer, I was instantly hooked on this place. It's more a time portal than simply a bar, where bartenders in ties and waistcoats mix up fresh and tasty traditional cocktails. The decor is pure yesteryear, from the antique filament bulb lamps to the mid-1800's butcher's mirror that Frank tells me they designed the restaurant around. There is currently a limited bar menu that is both delicious and reasonably priced. My favorite snack is the Landjager hunter's sausage with house-made pickles and pickled onions...for only $2!!! The beers on tap feature several Six Point craft brews and the crisp and refreshing Einbecker import. They make their own bitters in house, and if you order a Waterfront cocktail, you'll feel like you can wrestle a bear. If it's crowded, it will take a while for your cocktail to be made, but it's because the ingredients are prepared from scratch and with care. And at $5, the "punch" which is rum-based and rotated daily is a steal. Good sir, may I have another?
