Food was all well-prepared, service was attentive, but nothing special. It was great to try once, but I don't need to go back. The only thing that really stood out were the Wagyu beef sliders. They are a definite must.

I had a great meal and what a seen! I don't think we every been to a kosher restaurant where you have mostly cool young people, food was delicious absolutely the freshest we ever had, I think the key is not to go with a big party in the beginning.

While the Japanese food at this restaurant is quite delicious, the chef does not know how to make a good steak or a decent side dish. I asked for my steak medium-well and it came to the table with a pool of blood underneath. The service was atrocious. I did not know who my waiter was because every few minutes somebody else would come to the table. They forgot some of the appetizers and didnt bring them until after the main course, and the waitress refused to write down our orders on a table of 7 people!

Decor was amazing. Restaurant was lively. Sushi and salads were great. Appetizers were super small in portion (ie "sliders" included 2 sliders, chicken appetizer had 5-6 tiny balls of chicken) and not all that great tasting and flavorful. Stick to sushi as japanese entrees were all soup-like and not filling! A 35$ japanese entree had two pieces of thin beef and a ton of scallions etc. and came with no sides. Warm chocolate cake was just ok.

I am not going back to this restaurant. The food is overpriced and overhyped. Just because I'm kosher does not mean I don't know what good food tastes like. The service was also pretentious and bad.

I was somewhat leery based upon a few of the reviews. However, the food was what my wife and I were hoping for--fantastic. The sea bass skewers were great. In fact, it was the best steak I've ever eaten at a steakhouse--kosher and non-kosher (and I've been to some of the best in the country). The only issue we had is that the staff was a bit over-attentive and rushed in taking away the dishes. We look forward to going back for other special meals.

I have been to Joey Allaham’s other restaurants (Prime Grill, Solo, etc.) many times and have been quite satisfied. Not so with Prime Ko. It was quite disappointing. While the décor is nice, the service was only fair and, in my experience, the quality of the food was poor. I ordered a 14 oz rib eye, cooked medium ($44 with no sides). What I got was a small, very thin piece of meat, full of fat and gristle. I sent it back -- only to get the same piece back again, but now it was overcooked and tasteless. I sent that back as well. The waiter claimed the “chef” insisted he try to serve it again. Even the waiter was embarrassed - both at what they were trying to pawn off as a quality steak as well as the way they were trying to do it. For now, I’m not going back.
