    Overpriced mediocrity

Joke: old man says to waiter, "there are 2 things wrong with this soup. It doesn't taste good and there isn't enough of it." This was my experience at Prime Ko. The food is not bad, it is just average. This would not be so bad, but it was so overpriced. A friend and I shared 4 apps. 1) 4 meat dumplings 2) 2 fish skewers with about 2 ounces of fish on each 3) 4 rice crackers with a teaspoon of fish puree 4) 2 sliders with a tiny beef patty. Each appetizer was $15-$17! There are much better kosher options in the city. Prime Ko is a big joke at the expense of the kosher cunsumer.

Took too long but they compensated well

Great ambience , probably nicest restaurant in NYC. Great for Saturday night with friends or any night date. They took one hour to bring our sushi, we complaint and they brought us drinks and many dishes and all on the house. Bottom line: one of the best restaurants in NYC if you can afford it.

    salmon...not good

the main salmon dish on the menu was overcooked/dry and just had teriyaki sauce from a jar on it. (no garlic, etc) it is not difficult to cook salmon..so not sure what happened. although the vegetables were very good and fresh.

Decent food; but the worst otherwise

While good food is important, it is not enough to ever get me to come back to this arrogant self important debacle of an eatery. They kept us waiting (7pm reservation; 7:45 seating) and were annoyed when we complained. It took the waiter almost 30 minutes to take our order. Then another 45 minutes to bring the first morsel of food. Then they rushed us. Though we would have liked to have dessert, we decided to get it elsewhere and felt relieved to get out. NEVER AGAIN!

    Poor service

Never in my 15 years of eating in NY restaurants have I encountered such sub par service. 8 pm reservation. Seated at 8:20. Ordered drinks, not delivered until 9:20. Waited at least 45 minutes for dessert. A complete and utter celebration of incompetence and disregard for the customer. Food was good, but not worth the price.

    Don't Call for Take Out

They will not do take-out orders by phone. You have to show up there to order as well as to pick up!

    Nutty Service Standards

Some of us arrived on time but they will not seat us until everyone is there. No matter how hungry you are, you have to wait (although the place was not full). When we finally got a table, they will NOT take partial orders. Everyone at the table MUST order everything all at once. So forget about getting a quick appetizer after waiting hungry for 20 min to be seated. They told us the chef is very strict about getting only one ticket per table... this is just crazy; in NY... everyone else is able to take appetizers first except this guy. The service was slow once they did get the order in. The food was good, nice presentation, a bit pricy but worth the money. However with such service standards (al la soup Nazi) I am not going back there so quickly.
