    Enjoyed it very much!

I thought the service was excellent and the food selection unique and delicious. The new dessert menu is outstanding! Try the cherry vanilla ice cream on gingerbread.

    Horribly Disappointed

My boyfriend and I went there for his birthday. I was happy to be there with him, but was very disappointed in the dining experience. I know that it's a steak house, and I probably should have ordered a steak. My boyfriend got a steak, and he was happy with it (although he noted that it was at the same level as Mike's and Solo). I ordered the duck. It sucked. Duck is a very fatty meat, and therefore is usually very moist. It was unimaginably dry. I could barely choke it down. The side dishes were over-flavored. The key to good food is nuanced flavor, and with this dish, I felt like one bite tasted like vinegar, the next like garlic. The atmosphere was, well, unpleasant. It was really loud. We were at a table for 2, and we could barely hear one another. I could definitely hear the guy at the table next to me, because he was sitting closer to me than my boyfriend! And, unfortunately, we paid hundreds of dollars for this. The waiters did the best they could, but it was a bad situation. We had a reservation, arrived on time, and had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Luckily, we had a nice bottle of wine, and enjoyed each other's company despite the restaurant.

    OK in a pinch

If you have to take guests or family for Kosher, this place is not bad. But why does Kosher have to equal rude servers and expensive tabs? I agree with the other review that says this place is priced out of its league.

    Prices up / Service unchanged

I've been a customer for 5 years and have watched prices go through the roof. This restaurant is priced like a fine five star restaurant but my servers were more of a deli caliber. The owners should appreciate that if you're going to price yourselves like a 5 star NYC restaurant, you need to train your servers in fine dining. You can't have your steak and eat it to!

    Pretending it's something it's not

Been there a few times wife is Kosher and have many Kosher friends. This place is pretentious, overpriced and just plain mediocre. The steaks are a ripoff perhaps those kosher their entire life don't know any better and have been " acclimated" to this stuff but Rib steak is one of the best cuts kosher or not they ruin it here. The pretend filets are fine for my dog. And the service and prices are just problematic at best. Go to La marais for a better steak , go to kosher places that don't pretend to be the Palm or Sparks. There are far better kosher choices kosher doesnt have to be a ripoff this place is Or buy a good kosher rib steak at home grill it medium rare enjoy and give the extra money you save to charity.

    The steak stunk

I go to alot of Kosher places b/c many of my friends only eat Kosher. This is considered a fancy/nice kosher steakhouse. Although the setting is nice, it is usually packed b/c it's one of the few really nice steakhouses that's Kosher. Additionally, the steak is not nearly as good as other steaks (kosher & non) that I've had. It is simply overpriced and overcrowded. To top it off, service is spotty: we had drinks, our meal, and hung out after drinking some more. Not until the late part of the meal when the restaurant started emptying out did service become adequate. Forget it if you needed a fork, another side dish, more water, ect. between 7-9pm. Just too busy. Save your money for better steaks elsewhere.

    Not worth it

My son and I ate there last week and it very disappointing. First, I have been there before but never ordered the steak and =thought I should. Rib Eye is one of the few " good" kosher cuts along with hanger steak. Well my 21 year old son and I both ordered the rib steak after asking them what cut was used for a menu item they called the " reserve steak". The waitress then describes the " very tender part of the rib steak that surrounds the eye". This was priced at $54 amazing...this is the part I'd throw out yes it is tender but its all FAT! and they have the nerve to sell it and charge over 50 dollars. Our steaks were dry and tasteless. We sat outside under a plastic tent was very crowded and oneset of diners at a table near ours started smoking . I went inside and told the maitre d and she had someone ask them to leave the restaurant portion ( under the tent) and smoke off premise. They got up and stood outside the open tent maybe 6 inches from where they were with the smoke wafting in to the diners. Rude and unpleasant and that was all the restaurant staff was willing to do. Also when we ordered, I asked for Fries the dish came with mashed potatoes. I have celiac disease and can't have gluten. I wanted to make sure there was no " thickener" like flour or ( horrors matzo meal) so I asked if I could have fries instead. The answer was an abrupt "no". For the prices they charge and the food they serve they could have been more accommadating. all in all it was an disappointing meal. I ordered a side of fries and we had a bottle of chilean kosher wine the fries were edible and the wine was actually quite good. I wouldn't go back here if it was 1/3 the price.
