Best Spot in the Financial District
Fantastic decor and great atmosphere. The people are friendly and the food is great. Be sure to catch one of their two-for-one deals at the bar during the week, it's totally worth it. Overall, great place to bring people and hang out.

Great place to chill with AMAZING burgers
Pound & Pence serves one of the best burgers in the city - not too greasy, and comes with great "chips." The fish & chips are to die for, as well as the onion soup and fried calamari. The upstairs vibe is just a great place to relax with wingback and slipper chairs and even a fireplace! I can honestly say that this is one of my favorite places to go on a Friday night with a good beer and great food!

quick delivery
i never went to the place, but it is definitely one of my top choices for delivery in the financial district. the food is great, only let-down, the beef wellington and 'the tower' are barely ever available when i call. but the london broil or the burger are always a safe choice.

Good food, with an identity crisis
The place is primarily a bar. It's noisy and most people are there to drink. The food is good, but way over-priced considering you are sitting in a bar eating a $14 salad. Try it once, but don't expect a romantic time or the ability to hear your dining partner.

I like this place, on the whole
Having worked across the street for over a year, and being friends with one of the bartenders that was there since the place started, I know this place pretty well. The food is decent (being a vegetarian, there's not much to choose from, and it's not great, but it's food). Drinks are usually quite good. Service can be iffy. Service can be slow (but that's usually because it's busy at the bar, so it takes them a while to get a drink made) or can do things like steal your credit cards... (trust me, it's quite obvious she stole it, but most of the waitresses are friendly and attentive). So on the whole, service is really quite decent. The atmosphere is great, however, and they have a nice pool table and a fun group of semi-regular pool players that go there. Nice decoration and lighting. Lots of separate areas so it doesn't seem like you're in a huge place, but there's plenty of room to sit or stand. A big screen TV projector too. Great for an extended lunch break or after-work gathering when there's some sports going on.

Best Burger I've had for Delivery
I am a burger eater! This is hands down the best burger I have ever had delivered to my apartment. I order it once a week and I have not been let down yet. It is large, cheap, and very tasty. I definitely recommend this place for delivery. I have never been there to eat, so I can't comment on it.

one drunken nite
ok so this place pounds and pence, really great food... and awesome margarita's, the drinks were omg i can't even begin.... the atmosphere is nice... great hang out spot for after work, food was awesome, had the indian food there.. i know it's odd to have indian food there, but it was just like eating it in an indian rest. also the inside is really nice, they have different sections... other than the bar...
