Ive never had a negative review for Potbelly until this experience. I first had my introduction to Potbelly in DC back in 2006. Since then I was an avid fan. I even emailed Potbelly about coming to NY. I was ecstatic when i learned that they were opening multiple stores in NY . However, my experience yesterday was disappointing. This was my first time at the Potbelly in Brooklyn, I was excited about this because i was taking a friend to try Potbelly for the first time, and we've lived in Brooklyn for the majority of our lives. This particular place wasnt even crowded. The cashier younger lady had was very rude and was very nasty. It was obvious she was having a rough time.This shouldnt impact how customers are treated. I spoke to one of the managers about her behavior and he said he would speak to her.I felt that this misrepresented Potbelly on the whole. People who work for a company are the face of the company and if they cannot be approachable or even professional I dont see the point of representing the company. Then manager said he would speak to her. After getting my sandwich , which was slightly warm and the veggies ice cold, i was upset that my sandwich wasnt made properly. I'm used to a hot sandwich and this was ridiculous. I received no apologies on the cashiers behavior . I will not return to this Potbelly and will never reccommend the Brooklyn Potbelly to anyone . I will stick to the Union Sq one. This was truly a disappointment. The Potbelly I know has nice service and hot sandwiches. Hopefully in the future others that work at Potbelly can be trained to do both.
