    Loco for Posto

Posto is great, to the reviewers below please go back to wherever you came from and stay there. The staff is great and hot! The pizza is great and definitely a neighborhood favorite. I definitely will never stop giving my dollar to this great joint. Love you guys.

    No-Go to POSTO

I don't understand all of the glowing reviews POSTO received. It was a poor experience for me & three friends! It was very cramped inside (tight booths & little tables tucked here & there). No matter which table you decide on, there's something obstructing the seating...making it rather uncomfortable. We decided on sharing salads & a pie. The waitress said we could definitely share the salads. What arrived were incredibly skimpy salads that could've been scarfed-up in two bites. Both salads were not good! The Caesar had shriveled, dried-up shreds of romaine and the other salad had equally dried-up pieces of endive that were only saved by the miniscule goat cheese accompaniment. Now, the star of the show - the pizza - was not good either! Bravo for the thin, crispy crust...but the sauce and the toppings had a weird, sweet-ish taste. I'd much prefer a salty & savory pizza sauce. We wound up leaving there unsatisfied and still hungry. We could have gone to so many other GOOD pizza joints in the area for half the price! As for the service, the busboy was accommodating when we needed plates, utensils and water. However, he couldn't help us with the overly-loud music blaring from the speaker right above our heads...not conducive to good conversation. The waitress was less than charming. Although she did come to the table to take our order three times, we just weren't ready. Then, when we were ready, she was nowhere to be found! When she finally returned to take the order, it was done with a "roll of the eyes" and and audible "TSK!" Not good!

    Posto is a No-Go

I was excited to try Posto after reading all the glowing reviews but was sadly disappointed when my friends & I went there for dinner. Upon entering, the place looks like a rustic old world pizzeria restaurant. Then, reality hits when you're faced with cramped booths & small tables squished together. Our menus, utensils & glasses of water were brought to us promptly. Although the waitress did ask us several times for our order, we weren't quite ready & we felt rushed. Then, when we were ready, she was nowhere to be found. When she showed up again, we decided to share salads and a large pie. She assured us that the salads chosen would be large enough to share - NOT REALLY. I could have scarfed the smallish plate down in two bites. The Caesar was made with old & dried-up Romaine lettuce, which they tried to cover-up by dousing the entire plate with cheap, supermarket-brand parmesan cheese. Although old & dried-up looking, too, the Endive Salad fared a little better. The only compensation was the small piece of goat cheese accompaniment. While waiting for our pizza, I noticed fragrant, piping hot pizza pies being brought to neighboring tables. When our pie arrived, it was a sad. It was not piping hot (the way I like it) and it was not fragrant at all. Although the crust was incredibly thin and crispy (bravo on that), the tomato sauce and toppings had a weird taste. It didn't have that salty, savory taste one usually finds on a pizza. It had a strange sweet flavor. Not too appetizing. As for the service, eh. The busboy was OK. The waitress seemed quite disinterested in us and we were left alone for quite awhile. When she finally arrived, I detected several "rolling of the eyes" and an audible "Tsk." Not Good!!! My friends & I found this place expensive for what you get. There are many other great pizzerias in town. This is not one of them!!! We wound up leaving hungry...and went out again for more "REAL FOOD"!! My friends & I do not recommend POSTO and will not return for another try!

    Delicious Thin Crust

The pizza here is really delicious. It's not the cheapest, but it's worth it for the taste! Delivery is fast and good, but the wait staff service isn't the best if you 're dining in.

    Great Find!

Glad to have another good restaurant in Gramercy! The pizza here is consistently excellent (if you like thin crust pizza). The prices could be cheaper, but reasonable given the area. My only complaints would be delivery (the pizza is definitely better at the restaurant) and the service. The host (not sure what his name is) is as pissy as can be. If you can look past that, though, it's a fantastic little restaurant!

    Good Pizza, Service So So

Finally went here on a Thursday night. A word of advice, If you want a table I suggest you get there by 7pm latest. I got there at 6:30 and the inside was empty. The outside tables were all full and everyone, including myself, asked for a table outside. Since none were available sat inside. Within 15-20 minutes the entire place was filled. And yes with wild children running around the place too. On to the food, Very thin crust pizza, perhaps the thinnest I've ever had. Tasted good, Had the sweet Italian Sausage with Roasted garlic. Also had the Garlic Bread to start, a little pricey for $8 but quite good. Friend had the Chicken Caeser salad. Pretty good. Wine was not so great, was served in one of those tiny glasses you get orange juice in when you get a continental breakfast at a motel. The Lemonade is served extremely tart and they give you a bottle of sugar water for taste. Will I go back, perhaps. Run back, no. I like Piola on East 12th Street just as much and its closer with a larger menu.

    solid

Came here for dinner on a week day, not that crowded. Easygoing decor and ambience, food is great, really tasty thin crust pizza. Try the Meatlovers which was by far the best I tried. They serve beer on draft and in bottles as well. Prices are decent, could be cheaper but not ridiculous. Overall, if you are into thin crust pizza, give it a try.
