The best!
Went for Restaurant Week for the 3-course lunch, which will now be every week. The mesclun salad was wonderful and the port chop looked delicious as seen at the next table. If you want exceptional steak, exceptional service, in a very nice atmosphere, then do patronage the Post House. I was glad I did.

Delicious ravioli
The lobster ravioli was delicious! My friends really enjoyed their steaks and I loved the atmosphere it was classy.

Great Restaurant Week choice
I find myself often dissapointed with some restaurants over restaurant week in terms of service and dishes offered on the special menu, but Post house didn't dissapoint! The service was good (albeit a bit slow but attentive none the less). The choices off the special menu were plentiful in comparison to many other restaurants as well and everyone in our party enjoyed their dish. The berry crumble dessert definitely made my day! I would absolutely return.

Superb
Three of us went to lunch and we were amazed at how great the food was. I had pumpkin bisque that had just a hint of spice and was velvety. We all had the rack of lamb - a big portion, 7 chops each and they were perfectly cooked and were delicious. Then dessert - I had the apple crisp - best one I've ever had.

Classic Steakhouse
Had dinner at the Post House last night, and received a truly classic meal. Was tired of over-seasoned beef at Del Frisco, horrible service and wannabe aged beef at Wolfgang's, and couldn't trek out to Lugers. Was just seeking a "classic steakhouse meal" in Manhattan, and the Post House delivered!! Steaks were all perfectly cooked, nice and rare prime cuts as ordered, and classic sides!! Hash browns and creamed spinach were a perfect compliment, and the overall experience was what one should expect!

Disappointed
The portion of porterhouse for 2 was big enough for 4 people and wasn't that tasty. The size was a turn off. The noise was almost deafening and the atmosphere was as a usual steak house. Lights too bright.

Upper East Side Civilians Can Never Be S
this review is too all the people who have reviewed the post house to be a bad place to eat. Its not my fault is rich people are never satisfied with anything. My experience at the post house was great. The steak watered in my mouth, the lobster was delightful and i never went a brief moment without being asked if everything was alright. All you park avenue people can really just stay home, but then again nothing is satisfying to you people.
