    Delivery Guy isn't great

Their food has really gone down hill. Our sandwich was cold and not near as tasty as it used to be. Also, upon delivery - when receiving a $16.33 sandwich - handed the guy a $20 bill hoping to make it an even $19.00. Asked for a dollar back and got not only a "no" but also major attitude. What kind of delivery person doesn't carry change?

    best italian porchetta in town

if you've ever had the porchetta at il buco on bond street, you understand how good a rustic italian roast pork can be. the meat they serve at porchetta is the next best thing if you don't want to spend $38 on a porchetta entreƩ. i disagree with some of the other reviews who compare what they serve here to a $4 NY deli cubano sandwich - it's a totally different product for $9 at porchetta. As to reviews about small portion-sizes: the quality and cut of the meat is so filling that if you're still hungry after one of these sandwiches or plates, you either have a very high metabolism rate or need to re-evaluate your the amount you eat per meal!

A true find in the E. Village

This place has a can't-miss menu. There isn't much on it, and if you stick with the namesake, either the porchetta sandwich or the platter, you'll be in heaven. It's a true find.

    Pleasantly Porcine

A must for all pork lovers. Great price due to economic turmoil, very simple for the more indecisive gourmands, and the service, perky. The porchetta sandwich and crispy potatoes and burnt ends are precisely portioned. The picturesque store front is enchanting for a midday jaunt. Check it out!

    you guys are unreal

all the things these reviewers are putting up as "bad" are the bloody points of going to porchetta... delicious, simple (yes..greasy - it's a *pork sandwich*) food. the cracklin' is *SUPPOSED* to be hard. the food is supposed to be plain. this place is yum. however: there is a mcdonalds around the corner, and i bet you can get more than "one napkin" there.

    Another Example Of Good PR

This is a classic example of a place that has been exalted to new levels, riding an existing "pork" trend and repeated plugs into super-stardom. However, the food was entirely forgettable. The bread was soaked in grease.

    disappointing

After hearing so much about this being the best sandwich in town.... it certainly didn't live up to the hype. It's just pork on a roll. The meat flavor was good. But the meat is so greasy that it really needs something to cut it, like a vinegary sauce, or hot sauce, or pickles, or something! And they should really think about putting more than 1 napkin in the bag, maybe wet wipes would be a good idea? Wouldn't go again.
