This place has a very eclectic menu, Morrocan, French and American and it's all delicious. A very lovely chef will greet you, the staff is accommodating and very nice. I've eaten there many times now, and everyone I bring there is delighted. I have enjoyed every meal Love it!

Good, not GREAT. Le Gigot in the W. Village has much better French food. However, I like that this place had an African flair. The place needs some updating, the wallpaper right by my face was peeling off the wall, kind of unappetizing. Also, they didn't offer to take our coats, nowhere to hang them, and since the place is pretty cramped it made it that much worse. Prices were good, 2 for 1 martini deal is great.

Exquisite food, elegant but not stiff and fancy, very gracious wait staff -- cannot rave enough about this beautiful little jewel of a place in the heart of Gramercy. Go today and then keep going back. You won't regret it.

Who are these guys and how did they learn how to cook like this?

I went here with a good girlfriend for dinner to celebrate my birthday on a Friday night. She told the chef that it was my birthday and he gave us a complimentary appetizer--spring rolls--they were good. The owner was also very accomodating. I asked him for pepper and he brought it. I ordered the snapper with salad and plantains and later asked for rice. He told me that if I had asked for rice before, he would have cooked it and brought it with the meal, so I told him that it was okay. Minutes later he told me that he was cooking rice for me. I don't believe that he charged us for it either. I also didn't like the first drink that I ordreed and they brought a new drink free of charge. Overall, I really enjoyed my birthday b/c the service was great and the food was great as well. The other reviewers are right - it has a nice ambiance and it is a good date place or just to meet up with a friend...Loved it and will definitely be going back again soon! Also, for any Africans reading this - get the snapper, it was nice and spicy!

One of the best restaurants (at this price) in the city! The food is always amazing and the staff is always friendly. The lobster BLT is a must! The only warning is to sit in the back of the restaurant during winter. Went there on a cold day and was absolutely freezing.
