Slow service, took forever to get more rice. Then the waitress wouldn't let us leave till we tipped more, claiming 15% is the minimum allowable tip. If it were up to me I'd have taken back the whole tip. Food was ok, kind of salty.

We live in Ohio and visit the city at least once each year. Every visit means a trip to Pongsri for Big Birds Love nest, A delightful combination of chicken, veggies and fruit and the perfect amount of spices! So try this restaurant and see for yourself! This is one of those diamond in the rough finds! ENJOY!

Ordered from here for the first time tonight. The food was just ok. Pad Kee Mao tasted fine, until I noticed that one of my noodles had newsprint on it (no joke). Also, the shrimp in the Pad Thai was not the freshest. Recipes were ok, but too many flaws too make it worthwhile. There's a lot of Thai restaurants in Hell's Kitchen. Unfortunately, many of them seem to use lower quality meat and fish. We tried this place to see if it was any better, and unfortunately it wasn't.

We ate here twice in April and found the restaurant to be very nice with good food. The red and green Thai curries are great - make sure you ask for the sticky rice with these dishes it's yummy! The House Chablis wine was an excellent choice with the Thai flavours too. Sevice was efficient and my only niggle if I have one is that I would have liked my food served on a pre-warmed plate - it comes on dishes you decant to your -cold- plate. I'm sure had I asked for a warmed plate they would have obliged! Staff were very pleasant and polite and stayed in the background unless you needed them - certainly not of the "in your face" type waiters you get at other places - give me this place any day for that reason alone. Prices are excellent value and we shall be returning in June.

I am a native New Yorker and I have been to Thailand 3 times AND I took a 30-hour cooking class in Northern Thailand. I find everything to be very authentic and delicious! Notably the Panaeng curry dish. No one else makes it as well as Pongsri does. This is my favorite Thai place in Manhattan. If anyone knows of a better one, please tell me and I will eat there.

The food here is excellent. For a midtown location, the food and service are exceptional. My favorites are the Pad See Ew and Pad Gra Prow. Atmosphere is quiet, can get crowded at lunchtime, but lunch specials are the best.
