Thai in the Theater District
Where there are a ton of Thai spots, this is our favorite. Great food, great service, and lovely atmosphere. The friendly waiter along with the rest of the Pongsri ThaiI team at this location never disappoint. Lots of options for people with all types of dietary restrictions.

Thai's like it
My wife is Thai and when we're seeing a Broadway show it is tradition to go to Pong Sri. It's really good food. Thai people really enjoy this restaurant, so you know that it is good. Decor is nice. Tightness isn't a problem cause it's kept pretty dark. Try the spicy squid salad ('yam plaa meuk') to start. SAEB SAEB!

Delish
The food is absolutely delicious and pocket friendly! The restaurant is a bite tight, but good enough to tolerate for some green curry chicken and jasmine rice. Best around Times Square!

Let's talk about the food....
Pongsri Times Square is among the finest Thai cuisine experiences in New York you can ever have. Forgetting the waiters--and there are both great and awful, and forgetting the atmosphere, which is nothing to write home about, THE FOOD IS SUPERB! We use the Pad Thai Litmus Test and Pongsri Times Square rules---hands down. There is not a close second. Check out any variant of PAD GRA PROW and it's always sublime. Enjoy!

Poor service, good food
When the food was delivered to our table, one entrée was missing, and our waiter said it would be here shortly. So after 15 min or so, we asked if the meal was coming and he nonchalantly stated that they accidentally gave it to another table and it would be here shortly. We told them at the end of the meal to take it off our bill because we had to wait so long for it- and they did with no questions. But also, with no apologies... I think that the service would discourage me from returning to this restaurant. The food was good, but the service is not good and our ice creams tasted powdery, I do not recommend the green tea or cocunut ice cream.

Weak
I went because of the good reviews on the Chow board and here for Thai in the theater district. The food was less than ordinary. Flavors were too simple - Thai inspired but no nuance - and much of the food I saw pass by was glossy orange. The service is fine but the room is very loud and the busboy clattered plates at the tables around us, interrupting our conversation several times. We paid cash because of the posts stating that this place has a reputation with overcharging credit cards.
