So called "italian" food was unappetizing
I came in for dinner and ordered the pork chops special. Being the SPECIAL, I was hoping that I would be in for a treat. The pork chop came in so tough and dry that I had trouble cutting through it with a steak knife and I didn't even ask for well done or any other thing as I was not asked for my prefrence. A huge side of risotto that was undercooked. Roasted pickled peppers on the side full of seeds that covered my inedible pork chop too. I told the waiter it was tough and overcooked and no one bothered to inquire about that. A glass of tasteless "house" Chianti to top it (whatever that is). I got a bill over 50 bucks for food that I could barely swallow... Stay away..save your money for the real thing or at least nothing not as blatently medicore as the food this resturant serves.

service great food good
the staff make this a welcoming restaurant. food is consistent. again, the service is down to earth and top-notch for this type of place and you feel like you're at gramma's house... i've seen some other customers walk in and think they own the neighborhood. get over it. sit back, relax and enjoy.

Not Worth It!
The zuppa di pesce (seafood stew) that I ordered arrived in an enormous bowl, but it was bland, tasteless and seemed as if it had been boiling away in the kitchen for HOURS. The seafood was rubbery, the fish dry, overcooked and flavorless.

Just Not Welcoming
I'm definitely at odds with the earlier reviews that speak so highly of the place. My bad dinner started off with the recitation of the wines... by type with no mention of who the winemaker is and the vintage... The waiter seemed very offended when I asked .. and he didn't know. Didn't bother to mention the price either. $10 ain't a lot but the wine was absolute swill. The pasta was unaccomplished huge bowls... I could've done the same at home from a jar. Don't get why it is so crowded

Good Experience
Good value compared to other places in West 60s & West 70s; we had 8 for dinner, service was great, meals were reasonably priced; seafood and Grouper entree excellent, veggies fresh, overall excellent experience
