Best Pomme Frites in Town
Really, what else is there to say? If you live in NYC, you owe it to yourself to go here. If a friend is visiting from out of town, they HAVE to try these fries. Pomme Frites is a must-go. Oh....and two more words: Curry Ketchup. Try it!

Not Impressed
I spread the word to my friends after having read the reviews for the restaurant. We made a special trip out to the neighborhood. The fries were okay. Nothing amazing. They weren't outstanding and really just a means to eat gobs and gobs of mayo. The sauces we tried were: Wasabi Mayo (ok), Sundried Tomato (good), and Mexican Ketchup (savory). Maybe I went on an off day, but I feel like my experience would warrant some serious persuasion to get me to go again.

First time experience
A couple of weeks ago i was determined to find Pomme Fritte as I had heard wonders about it and never went. I must say that i'm glad i did! I stumbled in starving and forgetting that I had no cash! I asked the lady behind the counter if they took debit cards and she told me "no we only take cash sorry...but there is an ATM just next doo!!". with a huge smile on my face i walked back in 2 minutes later ready to order. she let me try the roasted garlic mayo b4 ordering. that first taste of it was AMAZING. creamy smooth hearty and that roasted garlic flavor was out of this world!! i asked her for roasted garlic mayo with a small order of fries. she mistakenly gave me mango chutney and when i told her that that wasnt what i ordered she apologized and gave me the roasted garlic WITH the mango chutney without charging me extra! both of them were incredible ... it is a BIG value for the price. i wil definitely be visiting much more often! Pomme Frites rules!

Amazing Poutine - Tiny but Cute
I originally heard about this place on the Food Channel when they did a spot on NYC. I totally forgot about it until a couple months ago when I was walking around enebriated with some freinds and recognized the name...SO i had to try it. I don't remember what sauce I got but after I found a seat in the tiny place (they have benches and some tiny tables with holes in the tables to place your french fry cone)...A group of canadian students sat next to us and in that tiny space, you make friends fast! They made me try the Poutine and I've been a convert ever since. I know it sounds weird but please try the Poutine!

Heavenly sauces!
I love the roasted garlic mayo It's so good I had to go back again the second day. It was fun eating all that fries with those great tasting mayo but can't have it too often otherwise soon you won't fit into your skinny jeans. Love it.

Poutine!
I am French Canadian and obsessed with poutine (fries with cheese and gravy) and had pretty much given up on the idea of finding poutine in the city. A couple of months ago my friends brought me to Pommes Frites as a surprise ... amazing! Totally authentic, delicious poutine--though I realize that it doesn't sound totally appealing to non-Quebecois, I recommend it to everyone who loves Pommes Frites. Trust me, and trust them.

A Little Piece of Belgian Heaven
Just got back from sampling the fries here as I am a HUGE carb connosieur, with a particular hankering for potatoes. Let me just say, having never previously tried them, pommes frites are just delicious. Just as the other reviews have mentioned, the dipping options are endless so I started with a few audience favorites -- parmesan peppercorn, rosemary garlic and dill lemon. You could tell which sauces I was taken with as I barely made a dent in the dill lemon but kept revisiting the parmesan peppercorn and, to a lesser extent, the rosemary garlic. When I walked in around 2pm on an unseasonably warm January Sunday, there was only a small table of 3 occupying the back so I promptly took up a whole 2-seat table...let myself spread out a bit and enjoy. It wasn't long, however, before the stools began to fill up and the place, being almost empty when I arrived was completely full about 10 mins. later. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable and I overheard them recommending the mango chutney to someone which I will be sure to try next time. All in all, a filling, inexpensive -- hence fantastic -- experience.
