Not only did the waiter not let us uncork more than one bottle of wine at a time (horrible because we had white & red wine drinkers), but they re-corked our bottle at the end of the meal and said our time was up. The sushi was mediocre at best.

Best sushi on the ues side by far. Best piece for sushi is the red snapper, though others that are amazing include aji, bluefin tuna, boton ebi, and the 'needle' type fish (sorry forgot the name but ask about it!) Great uni, favorite rolls include: Spicy tuna, truffle roll, suzuki roll, spicy spider roll, ninja roll, golden roll. ENJOY! Go try it during the week, it's slightly less busy, but still same great fish and service. Bj is the man.

This place is a hidden gem that was recommended to me by a friend. Great food at a good price. Try the dynamite roll!

Been to Sushi Yasuda, Masa, Seki, Sugiyama, Gari, etc. Nothing beats Poke when it comes to excellent fresh fish and value. Super fresh sushi and a fun BYOB atmosphere makes Poke a great experience. You will not be dissapointed.

Great food with great service. The best salmon in NY, also the bar across the street is good fun on the weekends.

Fantasticly fresh sushi. This is the place you want to go if you are a sushi purist (i.e. - no funky rolls with 23 different kinds of fish). Salmon was the best I have had in Manhattan, the place itself is very nice (perfect for a date) and the BYOB works for everyone.

My husband and I live on the UES and heard so much about the place. One Friday night, we decided to go. The 10 minute wait wasn't so bad.. we brought our own bottle of wine which was great! The sushi was good but nothing special. The bill came out to pretty much the same amount we would normally spend at a fancier sushi restaurant including cocktails. I think the best way to go with a place like this is to go with a group.. rather than that.. you might want to stick to the places you already know and like.
