I sat at the sushi bar and was not thriled by the selection of raw fish. I tried the maguro (below average), hamachi (above average) and shima-aji sashimi (average). I had planned on ordering sushi after assessing the sashimi, but changed my mind.

A friend of mine recently introduced me to poke and now i am obsessed. the sushi is amazing and very fresh. The prices are good, and BYOB is awesome. needless to say I will only be coming here for sushi all the time!

I've taken so many of my friends to this sushi place, and everyone agrees it's the best they've had in the city. Many seem to take advantage of the BYO policy and no one can believe how reasonable the price is... I've had sushi all over NYC and this place blows all others out of the water.... I would strongly reccomend trying the triple spicy and the sushi special that sometimes even comes with pieces of seared toro.....

The must succulent, scrumptralescent. mouth watering sushi I have ever had. No exaggeration, Poke has the freshest sushi around. The seared Toro is absolutely luscious, the spicy tuna and spicy yellowtail are delectable, and the service is awesome. Everyone talks about Sushi of Gari and Sushi Yesuda, but Poke blows those places away. Very reasonable prices and and amazing food makes the gem a must eat. Be prepared for a wait but its certainly worth it.

The cat seems to be out of the bag; this place got packed quickly even in its newly expanded location on a weeknight. The new decor is pleasant. Service was a bit slow but ok. The sushi platter I had was authentically bite sized and the rolls were decently sized and tasty. The freshness was alright; not out of this world but not bad. A decent neighborhood sushi option; not high end like Seki or Gari like they say, but better than most.

The freshest sushi around. The triple spicy is the way to go. Amazing rolls and the fish is so fresh it melts in your mouth. A must try if you love sushi....Cant wait to go back

I have been to alot of sushi restaurants in NYC. Poke is far superior to a Haru, Sushi Hana etc... but it's no sushi of gari or sushi seki. (also UES) It was good, fresh sushi and had some interesting items on the menu. The cash only policy is slightly annoying.
