Good value for quality
Sushi is really good quality and they have really flavorful rolls. Byob is a plus but they limit you to 1 bottle for up to 3 ppl. The wait staff is usually good but the host pushes them to flip the tables ASAP. You definitely feel rushed. Despite the service it is one of my few go-to sushi spots.

Poke Sushi #1
I have been going to Poke for over 4 years! It is the BEST sushi place I have ever been too. Sometimes there may be a long wait but it is worth the time and money. They are cash only though. The service is very good. Since Poke is so popular there may be a little bit of a food wait max 30 minutes. If I could rate Poke's sushi I would give it a 10 out of 10! Sadly they do not deliver. Though you can either go Poke to pick it up or just eat there. I can't wait to have my dinner. It's Poke!

Best sushi in NYC
I've been going here for about a year and a half now and it just keeps getting better and better. Rolls are on the small side but are so fresh and well priced, so you can just order more. Never had a bad experience and will always look to poke as my number 1 sushi spot. Try the Xmas roll and Truffle roll.

Jabbed more than poked
There is a wide variation in the quality of the fish and some of the fish is improperly identified - both rather strong negatives in my book. If you cannot get a particular variety of fresh fish on any given day - temporarily suspend serving the items that include that fish. But under no circumstances should an attempted surreptitious substitution be made. That is out-rightly dishonest.

Great experience
Obviously Sushi lover is not a true sushi lover at all! Bj japanese and family are all japanese as well as kind and curtious. True sushi lovers know to order chef's special or omakasa menu not rolls. Poke is by far one of the best sushi spots in the city.

Mediocre Sushi on UES
Very disappointing. Went last night and found a restaurant without any Japanese people anywhere (customers, staff, chefs, etc). which didn't bode well. The spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail and spicy salmon rolls were a mayo-mess of gooey-ness without any flavor or much fish. The avocado-eel roll was dry. The spider-crab roll was small and not especially tasty. Worst, the nori wasn't fresh --- it was chewy and never had such bad nori --- it wasn't crisp, wasn't dry, clearly no sushi chef is in charge of minding the store. They charge for a pot of green tea, unsurprisingly. Nobody greeting or saying good-bye to customers as found in a more traditional Japanese place. On the whole, a very disappointing experience with disappointing sushi maki and not good value. Would not return to try again.
