Lobster Mac & Cheese and sliders to die for

Most import this food is very creative and tastes just amazing! They have very friendly wait staff that try to keep you happy. The Lobster Mac & Cheese and Sliders are my favorites on the menu, but I love everything I have had. They have a small, but good selection of wines that have character and pair nicely with the food. You also can't go wrong with going there just for a cocktail. The drinks are not particularly cheap, but care is taken in making them. Overall this is my favorite neighborhood restaurant gastronomically speaking. I hope to see more interesting creations as specials so I can appease my pallet.

    Loved it!

Food was great, but the drinks is where this place really shines. AWESOME sangria and different specialty drinks...definitely a great place for a hangout.

    totally not worth it

the portions were tiny, even for tapas, and way overpriced! service was extremely slow (>45min for our tapas) and once the we did get the food, it was dissapointing. They forgot some people's orders and seemed totally disorganized. We were overcharged but we decided not to argue about it, we just wanted to leave! I'd have to say it was the worst dining experiencesI've had since I moved to NYC in 2006.

    Great New Find

Tapas is always fun. But a restaurant that treats each patron like a favorite regular is hard to find. We chose Poco by chance, but can't wait to go back. Each dish was delicious, the drinks are creative, and the staff couldn't be friendlier. I highly recommend Poco.

    cocktails

I have been to Poco twice now. Both times for cocktails only, around 8pm on a Friday night. On these 2 occasions, the drinks were very good. The problem was the service. For a place that is supposed to specialize in cocktails, I was surprised that there was only ONE BARTENDER. The space is some what large by East Village standards. It seems like there is an abundance of servers, bar backs, and the host is certainly over-anxious to bring in business. My 2 experiences were frustrating. After ordering a cocktail, in my case a martini straight up, one should not have to wait 15 minutes to be served. Of the many places I've been, rarely does it take much more than 5 minutes.
