    Ehh.

Tried out Poco b/c my husband and I were in the area and based off the stellar reviews. We were disappointed. First for the good: Lobster Mac and Cheese - good sized chunks of lobster, some mac and some cheese. Can't really screw that up. Everything else was just not that good. We had grilled octopus - which you would think you can't screw up so long as the octopus is fresh, but they serve it cut up and smothered in some sort of olive tapenade that is just not good. I believe they do this to hide the fact that they don't even serve you a whole tentacle. The tapenade did not taste good. We also ordered a couple of other hot dishes along with a cheese plate, none of which were notable. We had bacon wrapped dates that were pretty stringy. Much to our surprise, the cheese plate came out last. This should have come out first. It requires zero cooking. The meal ended up costing us $80+ for two people. Not outrageous, but there are much better tapas places for the same price.

Good drinks, great food & service

Wandered in at 8:30 on a Friday, were seated reasonably fast, had great service, enjoyed the drinks (though I wish the Jalapeno-infused margarita was a bit spicier), had some fantastic food (as noted, the calamari and the lobster mac n' cheese are decadent and delicious), great service the whole way through. Fantastic time, would gladly go back.

    screwed on open table reservation

Made a 10pm reservation on open table, took an $11 cab ride to show up at 9:45 was told that we would need to wait at the bar because no tables were ready. Sat at the bar, nice bar tender, spent $28 on 2 rounds of drinks waiting for our table, were told that we could eat at a small bar table or wait for the next table. We said we would wait, they told us table was getting cleared, it was cleared and given to two people off the street. When we asked whats up got told sorry so we left, thanks Poco $20 bucks in cabs $28 bucks in drinks and you can't sit someone who made a reservation and your answer is come back and we will accodomadte you any time, thanks for the great experience will make sure to tell many people about this

    Great Place!

My friends and I went here on Saturday night and had such a good time! The food was delicious especially the lobster mac and cheese and everything was reasonably priced. Our waitor was fanatastic, so friendly and very attentive. Will definitely be back!

    CALAMARI

I went here with four friends last Saturday night for an early dinner. All of us are avid calamari eaters but we were so stunned by how delicious Poco's calamari is we had to tell the chef. The lobster mac n cheese was also very good and the mussels were my other favorite. We ordered nine dishes and stayed for 2 1/2 hours. The waitress and host came to our table throughout the meal to chat with us and we even got a few comp'd drinks and shots. Especially nice on a warm evening with the doors open and very inexpensive. This is my new E. Village go-to!

    fun night

We just had a great evening at poco. It was a perfect night for a breezy window seat overlooking avenue B. The drinks were tasty, and tapas were great. I was in love with the Lobster mac and cheese. It was so perfectly crispy and cheesy. Definitely coming back for more.
