I ordered in a hurry and probably didn't see this was more of a bakery, but it had fried chicken and that was enough for me. Please, I beg of you, don't order the fried chicken. This was take out, so I can't speak to the atmosphere, but at least they were here kind of fast. Wish me luck with my already churning stomach. I should've just thrown $20 out of my window onto 88th St, I would've felt better.

I love this place for their interesting and high quality sandwiches and salads but low key environment. If you want good food in a pleasant environment without the fuss of waiters etc, this is your place. Family business, it's clear they care that their food is top notch. Yum!!

Because I work a lot and usually skip breakfast and rush lunch, the only meal I get to really savor is dinner - which is why I prioritize finding sweet spots to pick up quality food when I'm feeling lazy (which is most of the time), if I'm not eating out. It feels like a waste to have a mediocre meal in NYC when there are so many options if you plan right. My boyfriend just moved around the corner from Plenty and the reviews on Menupages were solid, so I decided to check it out. The woman behind the counter, is the owner's mom. Just like my mom would, she was helping out as this new gem gets off the ground, and just like my mom, was a total sweetheart and super proud of her daughter's pet project to create all new recipes and commit herself to fresh food made every day from scratch. You can totally taste the difference - and the love! The sandwich and chopped salad were good picks, but what really hooked me were the pastries. I got the blueberry cornmeal cake, so light and still moist with a great sugared crust, and the kitchen sink cookie, which was just what it sounded like, blending the many ingredients just right without throwing me off with anything too random or uncomplimentary ... and the cornbread she gave me just to try was so moist and not too sweet, we both voted it our favorite. There were a dozen other things I wanted to try, like the homemade Twinkies and the chocolate cake and the jam cookies and the chocolate almond croissant ... but I can only eat a couple of things at a time, so I guess that means I have to come back <Plenty> of times!

visiting this charming bakery and cafe is such a treat! my boyfriend and i go regularly for breakfast, and it's one of our favorite neighborhood spots. the cheesy egg sandwich is just delicious, and every pastry i have tried has been superb. the prices are reasonable, and the service has always been warm and efficient. we love supporting this family-run, local business.

What a great addition to the UES. The baked goods are amazing and so are their entrees. They baked a beautiful and tasty cake for my son's birthday party. I also frequently lunch there - the soups are so good. Welcome to the neighborhood!

A great new addition to the neighborhood. Excellent baked goods, better than home made. Looking forward to trying the other foods. Best for take-out, or a quick coffee and a treat on the spot.

The food is so good and so thoughtfully prepared! I've only ordered take out, so I can't vouch for the physical location, but the food itself far surpasses most of the other local places.
