Plaza Diner

It's almost a year an despite my complaint about the kitchen whirring noise, nothing has happened. The food is still good at good prices, but it appears nothing will make Mike create a comfortable atmosphere.

A good diner with large portions and reasonable prices. Major problem is the incessant whirring, pulsating noise from a kitchen exhaust fan that makes it impossible for me to stay there. I discussed the problem with the owner who promised to repair but it's been about 2 months and no change.

Got the credit card bill and noticed $1.00 was added to the already generous tip. When we called they said there was a $1.00 processing fee for credit. It was not posted anywhere in the restaurant or on the menu that was noticeable and no one told us when we paid with a credit card at the cashier there would be a processing fee. Not worth the aggravation and the food has gone downhill.

I've been eating breakfast at Plaza at least once every week for 2 years. They've a sister diner - Nation's - on 49/1st. If what you want is simple diner-food, then Plaza's a perfect place. They've a large lunch crowd, as there's a highschool across the street, as well as construction workers from the area as well, so, try to get there a few minutes early to get a booth.

love the grilled cheese with fries. always is fresh. take out is QUICK.

i recently discovered a hidden charge on my credit card bill of $1.00. apparently this is charged to all credit cards but it isn't highlighted on the bill (in fine print on the bottom). i've never heard of another restaurant doing this and will never eat there again because of this, especially since the price was so high to begin with and the food wasn't that great. very disappointed.

I order every weekend from here. It takes no more than 20 minutes for my food to arrive and it is always hot and exactly what i ordered. It isn't anything but your typical diner food - but that is what i expect when i order from Plaza!
