Avoid like the plague
I visited this restaurant with a restaurant.com gift certificate and oh how I wish I never threw away my $70. The sushi is borderline frozen, the service is slow and almost painfully inattentive. I ordered the sushi boat for two...the roll fell apart; the oysters were downright nasty; not one piece of sushi on the boat....it should be called the Titanic instead of the special boat...alas there was no saving grace all I can say is wrong on so many levels. won't be visiting this place again

Overpriced and very poor
We ordered from here for the first time in a while last night and the best way of describing the $60 worth of sushi that showed up would be to say that it was like someone had placed the same order two days ago and then they had accidentally grabbed that bag. Believe me when I say we are not overly picky eaters, but the sushi was so unappetizing it was depressing and ruined our night. We had to throw it all away and make pb&js. If you are looking for sushi delivery I'd look elsewhere.

great place for date
I was truly impressed with the service at Planet Sushi. They are always very attentive, polite and the food was brought out promptly. This place is basically a restaurant run right. The food is quite tasty and fresh, and you can get quite a good deal with the combos (including soup or salad--I'd definitely recommend the soup) and various coupons/specials.

Only the service was good
Sesame spinach was way too sweet, and when I said so they offered me the Oshitashi, which I accepted. Unfortunately, that wasn't good either (flavorless bonito flakes). I didn't complain more. But the sushi was substandard too. The waitress was attentive and did what she could. She got a good tip, but I won't be going back.

Best Sushi Uptown
Service is wonderful & the hours are great because I work in a restaurant and I want Sake when I get off!! I love Cobra!! He rocks. Awesome people, food and drinks.

Great neighborhood place
I eat here often and the fish and overall food quality is consistantly good (I'm addicted to the Nabeyaki). The service is always friendly and the prices are fair. If you feel like sushi, consider this place

Cold rice and colder fish
The sushi here is not very good, the rice is cold from the fridge instead of warm and the fish is even colder. Planet Sushi has subpar food compared to Haku or other UWS sushi places. I wouldn't even order takeout from here since Saji's is much better.
