Upon first glance, Pizza Shack appears to be one of those inconspicuous, unremarkable restaurants located somewhere/anywhere in lower east side that you'd be more likely to order off Seamless than to meet someone for lunch at. I was grabbing a quick meal with a friend so we picked this place because it was near my apartment. I have to admit I had very low expectations for this place, but it definitely did not disappoint. We ordered a large BBQ chicken pizza to share, which was absolutely delicious! The sauce had a little spicy kick to it, and they were very generous with the cheese and chicken. I appreciate the no-frills way this place operates. We ate, we paid the bill, and we left satisfied. Would I make a dinner date out of it? Probably not. But the next time I am looking for a quick pizza fix, Pizza Shack is at the top of my list.

The entree and pasta dishes at pizza shack are fantastic. Portions are huge. 2 people can easily split an 1 entree because they all come with side pasta or salad. Bargain prices.

We have been ordering from this place since we moved into the neighborhood. The guys who answer the phone are always good to us. Food typically arrives in about 30 minutes, and I'm never let down. Great pasta dishes (the red sauce is great)

Excellent Italian food@ Pizza in a very charming restaurant. It's so refreshing to find a NYC restaurant where the staff is welcoming, courteous, and friendly. And the food was delicious.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, great tasting Italian food (not just pizza), reasonable prices and good people. How could you not love these guys? For example, once they ran out of wings right after my order was completed. The charge already had gone thru on Seamless so the guy called and said, "we just ran out of wings, next time you order put it in the instruction box and we'll send em. So I did just that and they came and I thought that that simple notion says alot about these guys. No trouble or awkwardness, just good solid business. And like I said, their food is delicious.

Eating here now had to put this review on line NOW. Having the ch. Marsala with ziti with meat sauce (x 3$) wow knock your socks off great dinner nvr expected it too be this good. Clean place great staff all employees looked very professional! Great little spot thanks reviewers on menupages
