Good catering for the price but...

Their food was excellent, but they did not bring enough, and they also tried to screw me over with the pricing after we agreed on a price for each person. Also, they forgot to bring all the utensils when they came to set up everything, and had to go back to the restaurant, which delayed my dinner party by a half hour. Everyone raved about the food, which was good, but 90% finished, and I feel like when you get catered food, there should always be some left. I'm not sure if I'd cater from them again, but their entrees are truly very good.

I think they should call it just RUSTICO

I live around the corner (and have for several years). I always notice the pizza in the window looks delicious - better than average for sure - and LOTS of options. The crust looks crisp, you can see the sauce, and the toppings look fresh and not overdone. I am a foodie and always trying to "diet" so despite how GOOD the pizza looks somehow I have never just stopped and had a slice. Anyway, despite this, as an avid Menupager, I added this place to my MyMenupages list. I just went back and read all the good reviews, and since I craved red sauce, and all the reviews say to try the pasta (and I thought this place was all pizza!), it seemed like high time I tried. I had the Bucatini Amatriciana. Bucatini is the thick spaghetti - typical in Italy and a little more rare here. It was absolutely delicious. The pasta was perfect - expertly cooked just al dente, and the sauce was a mix of a garlic'y red sauce, onions, and Italian bacon. It was very good, and if it had been served in a fine Italian restaurant on a nice plate, I would have been equally pleased to pay more. But here is the best part - this delicous (really) pasta, and an order of garlic cheese bread (a small loaf!) was just $11 and change - delivered! I truly look forward to trying more pastas (and eventually the pizza), and plan to order again soon. Highly recommend this great little neighborhood spot. -

    The place for wonderful pasta

I have eaten here for about 10 years starting when the restaurant was on 3rd Ave. Owner Antonio Assenso comes from an island near Rome and Naples, bringing to you great pasta dishes from Italy. The flavors are truly wonderful. The one I've had the most is spaghetti with tomato and zucchini (it is now made with bucatini). Wonderful for your taste buds. Other tasty ones I've had over the years are bucatini matriciana, fettuccine Bolognese, spaghetti puttanesca, penne arabiata, spaghetti with rapini, linguine alla bucaniere, rigatoni alla Romana with sausage sauce, penne del fattore. Many of these are no longer available. I'll have to get around to trying the new ones that have replaced the old favorites. Most people order pizza which isn't very remarkable at this place. The pastas are much better. Try them!

    Great Pasta!

I've only ordered takeout there. My favorite is the bucatini with sauteed zucchini and tomato sauce. Nice and garlicky! Our company orders the pizza on Fridays and it's very good too!

    Great food for the buck

I order from here all the time- I live around the corner so its very convienent. Fast delivery and good food for the price. The pasta portions are huge and the pizza is not so bad. Overall, a decent place for a decent /cheap meal.

    Ridiculously Expensive

Two slices for over eight bucks speaks for itself.

    great for lunch

I like their pizza. lot of variety. I have not had their pizza delivered. One of the better pizza places in this area. its also my go-to pizza place for lunch. The hot food, pasta etc is tasty too. its a good, quick lunch spot.
