Love Gruppo
Gruppo has great food - love the shroomtown pizza and the spinach and tre colori salads; great atmosphere - low key and casual; great service - low key and friendly. Go to Gruppo when you want to have a delicious meal without distractions.

Thinnest gourmet pizzaaaa
Great pizzas. A bit small but cozy. Definitely get the marinated pork or the one with the Italian name...beet and goat cheese salad is tasty too.

Pretty good
They have good thin crust pizza in a nice atmosphere but it can get a little pricey to pile on the toppings. I like to go because I live nearby but I don't know if I'd make a long trip for it. The warm chocolate chip cookies for dessert are a must!

Pricey
I love their pizza but seriously they are outrageously expensive. A small pie with 2 toppings can get upwards of $15. They charge $5 for some toppings on a large pizza. The pizza is great if you are a fan of thin crust, don't get me wrong on that, but these prices are definitely not recession friendly.

my favorite nyc pizza!
i order takeout from gruppo about once a week. its delicious...thin crust, fresh ingredients, great taste. even though it may be a bit pricier than youre average pie, its well worth it if you love gourmet pizza!

I tried to like, but to no avail
I live nearby and it's so tempting: pizza & beer. It looks like a darkly lit delicious pizza parlor. Unfortunately, the three different pies I've tried have consistently been bland and unflavorful. I have to take it home and dump garlic salt on it just to taste the darn thing -- something I shouldn't be doing with a gourmet, $20+ pie. The dough is bland, the sauce not great, and the cheese tasteless. Plus, I am not a huge eater, but I can eat an entire pie by myself, and not be too full. Thin crust a little too thin. Sorry Gruppo. I want to like you.
