Pizza D'Amore

I had high hopes for an enjoyable evening dining here. Fell short from very beginning. Finally was seated. Appetizer -baked clams , were the worst I've ever had. Not hot, no taste, no nothing.Tasted as if they were frozen, n half baked. I went on to order the fillet of sole ,@ $25.00. I'm 99% sure, it wasn't sole, I believe it was flounder, thin, burnt on bottom ,no taste no matter how much lemon I added. I must add, the wait between appetizer to entree was very lengthy. Finally , dessert, our guest ordered dessert, we ordered coffee, -she finished her dessert way before our coffee came to table.Once was enough, won't be going back.

This place has to be my favorite Italian spot whenever I'm in Brooklyn I try to stop in before my ride back to Jersey. It's a family business no professional waiters but the kids/young adults have respect and so maturity. They sit large parties and serve large portions. Great staff and good food. They have some good looking desserts too...and not to mention kid friendly.

At times the food if not exceptional, is very good, especially as it is reasonably priced. Other times it is markedly disappointing compared to when they are on form. Rarely it is truly substandard. Service and food quality seems to suffer when there is a crowd. If they could serve food as well prepared as they are capable of on a consistent basis, I could recommend them unreservedly. The pizza does tend to be salty, the other food less so.

I was nervous after reading all the poor reviews. Having just moved into the area, i didnt really know any other italian choices that deliver in the area. So i took a chance and ordered. Omg, the food was delievered super fast, still hot and delicious! Since then i have ordered in and eaten there many times, never with a disappointing expirence. I have taken many family and frineds there and everyone loves this place. Even the desserts are great. The only bad thing is, u might have to wait 20 minutes for a table on fri/sat night due to how busy it is, but busy must mean the food is that good and trust me its great!

What potential this place has, but after dining or ordering at Pizza D'Amore quite a few times since it is a reasonably priced family restaurant/pizzeria, I officially gave up. The food is never the same twice. Though you can be sure most foods are very salty and their sauce is always extremely sweet. There waitors/waitress could care less as well. Their heart shape mini pies would be great if didn't give you massive heart burn and if they were fully cooked.

Attended a private party recently - service was poor - waited one and one half hours for food- not even bread put on the tables - then when food was finally ready - only ten slices of bread at the buffet table for at least 150 guests! food was just okay - waited another 45 minutes for the children's chicken & fries to be served - everyone at my table was starving at that point! Then to top it off when the cake and coffee were being served- the wait staff arrived with just TWO small carafes of coffee each holding about five or six cups of coffee to accomodate at least 100 guests - finally gave up and left. This place cannot handle a party!
