Hit or miss
We ordered from this place several times. Sometimes the food was good sometimes not (one time the humus was spoiled), or the order was not accurate. The most problematic was that they didn't even want to appologize for the mistakes.

The best falafel ever!
I wholeheartedly welcome Pita Off the Corner to my neighborhood. Juda is very friendly, always happy to serve his customers and remembers you! He has a superb counterperson/server in Juan who makes sure to get it right all the time. The falafel sandwich is out of sight! It is spot on fresh, tasty and assembled with the the best ingredients- I especially enjoy the spicy tomato and white cabbage among many wonderful choices. I often pick up an order for my friend with fried eggplant which she raves about. You can't go wrong with the delicious (and free) hummus, white sauce and hot sauce. It has become an addiction. The premises are kept spotless and I feel very well taken care of. I feel even better once I get home and savor my delicious falafel.

Service
Finally great Israelli food, but the young guy that takes orders over the phone and helps at the counter is very rude. It is too bad because I am sure he is hurting this business. If you look at other ratings you will see the same comments about him!! But, the food is good.

Welcome Fresh Tasty Israeli Food
We Welcome to the Neighborhood Pita on the corner! I tried them out last week -- tasty high quality shwarma, fresh grilled chicken breast with a succulent maranade, and falafel with a nice spicy flavor and not too greasy. You get your choice of large portions of salads to go with each meal. The food was all fresh, flavorful, made to order and with very generous portions. Definitely Recommend this place for yummy Middle Eastern take out.

I can breathe again!
In early 2010 i saw the closing of my favorite falafel place in nyc (and thus the world), Ashkara. They promised they were just scouting a new location so i held onto the frozen pitas vowing not to eat any of them until Askara returned. It's January 2011 and that day never came, but seemingly in commemoration of our dearly departed, Pita off the Corner II opens after six months of tempting me with their awning. I only have a few reviews to base my assumptions on but fed up with the bland food at maoz and the crowds at Soom Soom i need some more outlet for my desire. And Pita off the Corner satiates that desire! The prices may seem on the high side but your purchase price gets you the following: the most perfect falafel balls i've ever had. they are fried fresh, crispy outside and still moist inside. the flavor is reminiscent of something i cannot put my finger on but i know it's amazing free hummus (and tahini, hot sauce, and amba!) and unlimited salad bar. i mean unlimited. not the unlimited with a disapproving look at maoz. you can stuff your sandwich as full as you want AND you get a plate with as many refills as you'd like. the ingredients are super fresh and even unique without being out of place. On top of this i have only been eating there a month (albeit 2-3 times a week) but i've already established rapport. the other day i looked into my falafel to find fries had been put inside. This is the knighting of the falafel world. for your consideration, sir david bilmas
