Positively worth it!
Had a few friends over and everyone wanted different pitas! So i ordered a Pita Tray from the catering menu and they threw in assorted pitas and everyone was satisfied!! Good job!

Always fresh!
I like that this place makes everything to order! Salad was fresh and my food was hot when arrived! I am a frequent ordering customer! Love it!

Crap
I just ate the crappiest salad ever from this pita grill location. I get the goat cheese salad all the time from the Hoboken location, but it was completely different here on New Street. The salad was turning brown and shades of red, and there were also those little mushy/slimy bits of lettuce. The goat cheese and onions were on a whole wheat pita rather than regular, which is the default. I don't like whole wheat pita and didn't ask for it! In addition, the balsamic dressing, which I usually love, sucked. It had big bits of pepper or something in it. It was not smooth at all. Oh, and i paid $14.70 because I added chicken (which was ok). This was the biggest rip. And i'm even more pissed off because there is no one to complain to. Pita grill doesn't even have a corporate website!

Yummy
During these tough times, the restaurant has lowered its prices to accommodate to local commuting workers. The owner is there everyday trying to vastly improve its service ever changing client tell. Same food lower price. Best combo.

Overpriced to say the least
How this place maintains enough popularity to support multiple restaurants around Manhattan I will never know. First off, it's GROSSLY overpriced. $11 for five falafel balls over greens and a scoop of hummus (if they even remember to give you the hummus) is at least 20% overpriced even by NY standards. Most items taste like a piece of spiced cardboard and portions are puny. The chicken rice bowls are marginally better than an Uncle Ben's microwavable rice bowl but cost three times as much. It's nice that they offer a healthy and relatively fast alternative to greasy delis but at their prices it's a better decision to look elsewhere.

Stop! Dont Waste Your Money!
Where do I begin? This place has Horrible Food Period. I ordered a Chiken Pita and all I got was a a Pita Full of Lettuce and 1 slice of tomatoe and I really couldnt find the Chicken and worst yet I paid $9 for this. My co-worker ordered a Goat Cheese Salad that was worse! It claims it has Goat Cheese when in fact its a bit of cheese spread that is applied onto a pita bread and overly loaded with caralmalized onions to disguise the barley there cheese. To make matters worse it had no dressing. Not that you are missing anything because the dressing which was delivered after the fact was beyond disgusting! the cost was $10.25 and that is w/out the tax and tip! In these turbulent times people dont have excess money to be THROWING AWAY on CRAP! Never, Ever Again will this eatery see my hard earned dollars spent there!

BEWARE lunch specials!
Arguably, there are as many cheap falafel/chicken pita-type trucks Downtown than there are in any similar-sized area in Manhattan. So, for me to pay a premium price for the same pita, it has to be THAT much better. And Pita Grill is. USUALLY. I LOVE LOVE their Athena Grill, and various other pitas off the regular menu. However, the lunch special leaves a lot to be desired. Do you not think we'd notice the iceberg lettuce slipped in instead of romaine? And where's that yummy sauce? And the feta, and the cranberries? Food trucks are the same...for $3.50. Sorry, chips and a soda don't justify a $10 price tag for this. Service was also shoddy. Snotty teen who looked at me like I was an idiot because I asked if "Coke products" referred to anything that wasn't a soda (Coca-Cola DOES market non-cola drinks...DASANI?). I asked for wheat pita, and I got white, and attitude. I've gone other times and have had fabulous service, however. 99% of the time, the food is amazing. I dream about their pitas, i swear. A bit pricey, but worth it if you are willing to fork over the money for a non-special item.
