Wow! I've just returned from a super lunchtime meal at what is sure to become my new favorite neighborhood restaurant. Ordered 2 simple salads - spinach/bacon and shrimp/fava bean. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding and the preparation was superb. Even the bread on the table was great. The chocolate mousse dessert was a true mousse, not chocolate pudding with some whipped cream added. The atmosphere is lovely and you'll feel at home if you're on a date (like I was), in a group, or by yourself. Try it...you'll like it!

I consider myself a tough critic of food, but was very impressed with Pisticci. The food is well executed and extremely tasty. The only complaint I have is with the service. The gentleman that waited on me was subpar, and made me not want to return. I suppose I will, but I hope that I am waited on by someone better.

The atmosphere is excellent, enough light but not too bright or garish. It has a tinge of the university-academic aura. The Penne Pisticci is the most delectable gastronomical delight i have tasted in New York. All in all, the best Italain food in NY

We've been going to Pisticci since its first days -- and its only gotten better. We love the fresh pasta, and the chocolate mousse is always a treat. They are always friendly -- over the years its gotten more crowded so its important to make a reservation.

Pisticci is my favourtie restaurant in NYC and I go there about once a month. If there is a probelm with the restaurant, it is that they do not ever seem to change their menu (they have specials, but those tend to be more expensive). All of their dishes are excellent (that I have tried). My girlfriend and I are both vegetarian and we always order the pasta with muchrooms and truffle oil, garlic bread, artichoke with lemon sauce. For dessert, I always get their incredible coconut cake (one of the best deserts I have ever had). Pisticci's service is pretty good and the restaurant is quite charming. You will not be dissapointed if you go!

I have been to this restaurant twice now and it is a new favorite. The food is delicious - I love the dish with the fresh pasta and the lamb ragu with a generous dollop of creamy ricotta cheese - to die for! I wish I lived in the neighborhood so that I could frequent it more often but I'll definitely take the time to make the trip here (from further north). Definitely check this place out - the atmosphere is cozy and great for a date or catching up with friends.

My fiance and get food delivered one to two times a week. The spaghetti is always yummy and a great deal at $12 for two! We change up our order ever now and again and are never disappointed.
