    Disappointing

Been here twice now. The first visit was with a large group. The food wasn't great and service was poor but I thought it might just be because of the large group. Returned for a second time with a party of four. Service was poor. We sat there a long time before seeing a waiter even though it was early and the room was nearly empty. Waiters were hanging out together in the back of the room. Then we got attitude for not ordering enough food when the waiter arrived even though I made it clear we would order more after the first round. This is a tapas place, right? That doesn't seem out of the ordinary. Food was basic and expensive for what it was.

Sexy place with a cool vibe

This is a GREAT place to go in a group. It is dark and sexy inside and you can share tapas and sangria until the cows come home. The tapas are tasty though some are very salty. It can get very crowded on a Sat night so make reservations. Don't go there starving as it's better to share the small plates. The only downfall is that it's SO NOISY inside. Overall a fun place.

    Compliments from Atlanta Georgia

I have been to several Tapas restaurants in Atlanta, but after having dinner here on 2/24/06, I have to admit there is no comparison to Pipa the food and the atmosphere was excellent. Let me not forget to mention the mojitos...awesome. I would definitely recommend and will definitely visit again when I am in NY.

    Good Food bad service

Pipa can't be beat for the various Tapas available. Each selection was deliciously prepared. However the service was both inattentative and somewhat arrogant.

    Why the Change?

Pipa used to be my favorite restaurant in New York City...great food/atmosphere/sangria. That is, until they decided to change their menu. The previously endless (and free) supply of Spanish olives is gone (you must pay $5 for a dishful). The flatbread is now half the size (and double the price) that it used to be. On my last visit, it even seemed like the staff had become snobbier and less attentive (except for when the waiter harassed our table for looking "underage", we are all 25yrs old). Give me my old Pipa back!

Drinks are ok, food was too salty

The sangeria was ok, but every dish was salty. The tapas were overall subpar. Not worth the $130 bill.

    Good Atmosphere, average food

The atmosphere is really good, however for the price I would have expected better food quality... It is a good place for dates: low lights, good sangria, you can share dishes...
