    Great place

Everytime we go to NYC, Pipa is on our to do list. Beautiful place, great food, great service, and fantastic atmosphere! The best sangria we ever had. It's great that you can reserve your table online.

    Great Food AND Service

I wanted to review this restaurant because I saw so many negative reviews about the service. I ate here last night with a girlfriend and found the service to be exceptional. Extremely attentive with is unusual for NY, so we were very pleased. I've been here twice. The food was great both times. This time, we split: sangria, garlic shrimp, dates with bacon, and seared tuna. All were excellent. Another neat thing...depending on who you're seated next to....is that some of the tables are long with no breaks. So when you are seated, it can feel like you are sitting down to Thanksgiving dinner with the fam. Our neighbors struck up a conversation with us, which was fun. I don't remember that being the set-up last time, so a romantic dinner for two is definitely possible here. Great place.

Sangria was the best! and the food was great as well. Went twice in one week while on vacation in NY.

    Best Calamari in NY

I reccomend this restaurant to all people. If you are having a romantic evening or a family dinner this is the perfect place. The food is amazing. Never have I tasted such crispy, soft, and tasty calamari. The tapas are excellent and you will get the tapas one after the other without long waiting. I felt the service was great. It is very loud inside and pact but it is a very trendy restaurant. But the best part was the food-you will really enjoy it!

    Different experiences

I came to this restuarant quite a few times and I've always had different experiences. The first two times I went, I left thinking the service wasn't great and the food was just OK. The third time I went, I dined with a few people. The sangria was terrific and the dishes were very tasty (loved the date and bacon and the coques). I came here again a few days ago and the palla was very dry and tasteless and the dishes were a bit too greasy. Strange.

    Poor service

The beautiful atmosphere, great location and good sangria are ruined by the really poor service. I would skip Pipa if you are in a hurry or care about getting your food as you ordered it. However, the bar after work can be a nice place to grab a pitcher of Sangria. Just avoid the resturaunt (as many do telling by the big, open, vacant space).
