Favorite place for Friday night drinks..

This is my favorite place to go on Friday nights after work. The pitchers of sangria are absolutely addictive and everything on the menu is tasty. The portions are tiny, but good for groups who like to nibble and have some drinks (order the olives!). The atmosphere is warm, intoxicating, and romantic. Be sure to make reservations.

    Amazing Experience

the food is so amazing that people always make resevations there. As for drinks, theres a huge bar w/ amazing sangria, and if you complain about it...... its probably because you never had it before and dont know what to expect. But all in all everythings amazin there!

    Nose Dive

Pipa is aesthicially a beautiful restaurant with an electric atmosphere buzzing in the air especially at the bar. Its one of those restaurants you have to bring your out of town friends to to get the real NY vibe. We were seated promptly and our waiter turned up shortly there after and took our order. Wine was great and so too were the cocktails. Our tapas arrived which were at best average, over priced and one dish was missing - there was no sign of our waiter so didnt bother asking for it. The biggest let down was the dessert which tasted like cardboard and the fact that our waiter disappeared for 45 minutes and never checked on us after taking our order. To be honest we were so busy catching up that the really poor service wasnt a big a deal as it might normally be. Pipa is one of those restaurants you go to be seen and have a cocktail at the bar.

    Disappointing

A bad sangria and average quality food, combined with poor service (we had a 40 minute wait after having made reservations, and 3 girls who were supposedly the hostesses hung out at the front desk staring at the door as if they were waiting for a miracle to happen), made for a very disappointing experience.

    Great night out

I had dinner here on valentine's day with a friend visiting from out of town. When we got there a few minutes late than my reservation, we were seated right away. The ambience was very romantic with flowers on the table but it didn't bother me that I was only having dinner with a friend. The sangria was really good! My friend and I thought a pitcher is too much for the 2 of us but it was so good and light we finished it. The food was delish! Calamari and scallops were very tasty appetizers! I will come back with more friends next time because it's really a fun place to have good food and conversation!

    Great Ambiance

We heard great things about this place and love tapas, so decided to give it a try. Atmosphere is awesome, very stylish and romantic. Although the place is crammed with seating, you don't feel like you are sitting on top of your neighbor. The food was great, but the ambiance is better. We loved the calamari and the cheese plate the best, but we enjoyed just about everything we ordered

    Fun night out

I went here with 3 friends on a Tue for girls night out dinner. The place was packed but we did not have to wait more than a few min for our table. The sangria was good, a little on the sweet side. The calamari is fabulous, the sauce it is made with is sweet and spicey at the same time. The seafood croquetes were also great! The dessert was just ok, I would stick to the drinks and tapas. It's a great scene and the traditional spanish dancers were entertaining.
