    Not recommended

The only thing worse than the food was the service. My friend had to phone the maitre de to get the waiter to bring us a check. He had brought our drowning in oil tapas, in very strange order, and disappeared. No wonder the restaurant was empty. Never again.

    rude and overpriced

Our night started when a bus boy accidentally spilled a full vase of ice water down my friend's back. No apology... food is overpriced and mediocre. don't order the slimy calamari. We liked one out of four. 4 small plates and a bottle of wine. over $100 bucks. left disappointed and hungry.

    Rude

The food and environment is not worth a waitstaff without any courtesy. The attitude from the hostesses to trying to get a waiter to order from the speed of the food of the table made this an unenjoyable and frustrating dinner. I will not be returning and would not reccomend this to anyone else. They were just not that nice.

    LOVE THIS PLACE

I was here on a thursday night and had a wonderful experience. The service was fabulous & the food even better. Best calamari I've ever tasted & delicious sangria... can't wait to go back!

    Rude, rude, rude

Consistently treated poorly by host staff. Don't even think about taking a group for drinks. They will cram you in the corner of the bar and don't serve you. We spent $500 on [lots] of drinks and tapas, but you would have thought we asked them to just use the restroom.

What kind of people do they hire here...

I have been to Pipa several times and consistently have a decent meal.. What else is consistent is the poor staff. The hostess is rude and does not manage the tables well. She will tell you there is an hour wait even if no one is in there (this has happened to me ) They do this to make you pay more money at the bar In addition to the rude and snotty hostess, the staff have overcharged my card . My receipt and bill said one amount and my credit card statement was charged over trip the amount what the receipt was stated. Best advice Pay Cash and prepare to wait at least an hour and 45 min even if no one is in the restaurant ! No Worth the wait or aggravation ..Buyer beware!

    Really Good!

My boyfriend took my here for dinner in November and I must say I was very pleased. The restaurant is intimately lit and perfect for a date. I absolutely loved the decor! The food was really tastey. As the other reviewer mentioned, I also suggest ordering two to three tapas at a time. The sangria was really good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family!!!
