Not worth the trek
Maybe if i lived in red hook and this was my local spot i wouldnt be so critical about the food and atmosphere. and maybe we hit a painfully slow evening with only 2-3 souls in the bar? but for anyone who doesn't live in red hook, it's far. we ordered pulled pork bbq sandwiches which were on the small side. and a bit lukewarm. the bbq sauce was boring. a disappointment.

Best BBQ I've had in Brooklyn
This place is a great, low-key BBQ joint with delicious ribs and chili cheese fries. You have to get both if you come down. The atmosphere is laid back and is really the local hang out in Red Hook. I make it a point to stop in every time I'm in the hood, even if I only have time for 1 drink. The backyard and pool table are usually full when the weather's nice, so get there somewhat earlier.
