    Why no rice?

Very disappointed that i was not told there was no longer rice served with the lunch special. As good as the chicken may be (at times) it does not warrant the $9:50 for a 1/4 chicken. Also, you need to mention to your customers that when they request extra sauce that they will be charged for it.

    Avoid Deliveries!

The chicken is delicious but avoid deliveries at all costs. I ordered a chicken around 7:30 pm on a Tuesday. They said a delivery would take about 40 minutes. At 8:35, I called them back to find out what the status was. They told me the deliveryman had just left. The chicken didn't arrive until 9:15!

    Best sauce

The green sauce that comes with the chicken is amazing! Always order extra green sauce because you can never get enough of it!

Maybe the best chicken I've ever tasted

I ordered the 'whole chicken' for take out. This was some of the best chicken I have ever tasted. The meat falls off the bone and the consistency was unbelievable. It was not dry at all and was marinated to perfection. I've eaten chicken at hundreds of restaurants, this ranks in the top 3. If you want some of the best chicken you've ever tasted, try this place, its incredible. The chicken was enough for me and a friend to be full along with some mashed potatoes we made. I will def go back weekly now that I found this place.

    Waiter makes restauant lose business

Pio Pio is one of my favorite restaurants. I went to the one in queens for years. When i moved into the city and heard that it was opening up on 34th st, i was o excited. My friend and i go there once a week because the food is so good. However, we will NOT be returning to this location any longer. The waiter is consitantly rude and does not go out of his way for customers. When you ask for something after he already served the food, such as a glass of water, the response you get back from him is as if you asked for his limb. I have heard other customers in the restaurant complain to eachother after he walks away about how unwelcoming he is. Unfortunately, for pio pio, he is the only waiter and it is a shame because it makes customers not want to be there, despite how good the food is.

    Forget about delivery

I ordered food one night from this place. I only live 8 blocks away, I had to wait an hour for the food to arrive. My apartment number got mixed up by the girl who took my phone order. The delivery guy had to delivery bags and he gave me the wrong one. If he hadn't called before to ask for my apartment number I wouldn't have been able to call him and tell him that he still had my order. The delivery guy was nice but I couldn't tip for such poor service, which made me feel horrible because I always tip!

i eat green sauce on everything

i've never taken the time to write a review on menupages before, but when i saw some of the negative reviews on here i had to defend pio pio's honor. my boyfriend and i order delivery from pio pio almost every single week, and although they are not the quickest delivery people ever, if you know to order 30 minutes before you want your food, you won't be disappointed. the chicken is delicious, and their green sauce is to die for--we eat it on everything. fyi, you can buy the sauce by the pint for $5 (not listed on the menu), and it's well worth it--pio green sauce spices up every meal. it's especially good on eggs. also, the price is excellent--we get the same thing every week, 2 quarter white meat chickens, rice, and beans, and it's $16 for the 2 of us, and we generally have some leftovers. even mcdonalds costs that much these days in the city.
