I have been going to Pio Pio's for four years. (There is another in Queens). I live in California and whenever I am in NY I insist on a trip to Pio Pio's. My husband prefers take-out as it is always very busy there. I find the food to be excellent, the chicken very tasty and the salads are beautiful. My favorite has to be "ahee" the green pepper sauce. I actually bring a quart of the lovely green sauce home with me on the airplane in my carry on. My husband laughs at me, he's Peruvian, he says I eat it like soup! I could!

Congratulations, I have no real complaint about Pio Pio. The only aspect that I would improve is the size of the restaurant. It is a bit tight inside, due to the great number of custormers on weekends and afternoon from monday through friday....thank you. I drive all the way from Jersey (1hr drive) that's how good Pio, Pio is...

I am not sure how people can complain abou this place, it has great food and the staff is very friendly. Maybe other people had problems due to the language barrier, most of the wait staff don't speak English very fluently.

I am a big fan of peruvian ciusine and people and thought they are the nicest people on earth till i had the service there.. don't know maybe the space is so tyni (no privacy) that all of them are stressed out of getting the same orders everyday and night... but we want to be treated with s smile in the face.. fare enough... the place us great and food is AAA+++ and an extension of the size of the room could be perrrfecttt......

I have been eating at Pio Pio for over 3 years now, and the food is always great, the prices reasonable, and the service efficient. The sangaria is a real treat, as well as the ceviche. I recommend it!

First off the waiter was rude when we asked about the drinks he just said read the menu I don't know much about them. It can be pretty noisy as it gets busier. Pio Pio was a BIG dissapointment.

Have encountered rude waiters/waitresses/hosts here. I live nearby and have gone during the daytime when the place is basically empty (always) and depressing. It picks up on Friday/Saturday nights but then is too crowded for the small dining space.
