UES gem
Tucked away in the UES is a little gem of a restaurant. Small, intimate impeccable service and the most delicious chicken parmesan in the neighborhood, Try their shrimp Francese & caeser salad as well. Everything is modestly priced which makes the experience all the better.

It was decent..wait, my nose is growing!
Did the basic Chicken Parm delivery test...Bottom line, I couldn't tell if I was eating Chicken, Manicotti or Eggplant..So, I guess that says it all. The chicken was as soft and mushy as a limp newspaper, the sauce was watered down (hmm, I see an underlying water connection here)..Oh, and like the other places that "pass" for Italian restaurants up here, it cost $18... So, like my name says, I continue to "pine" for a time when Italian chef's made Italian food up here.... Very sad indeed.

Good food with a smile
I've been going here since the restaurant opened. At last a good restaurant near my home. The food is great and, what sets this place apart, is the friendly staff. It's nice going to a restaurant that values your business. The space is very small but the atmosphere is very large.

A favorite!
I don't know what I like more about this restaurant - the food or the service. I've never been disappointed in the food and the owner is sooooo pleasant and the staff very polite. They know how to manage a small space. A bonus is that if you pay with cash you get a discount.

great service & decor, but disappointing food!
Great disappointment. Service was great but chef must be non-Italian one. Cream sauce was very powdery, calf liver came with oily gravy without any taste, and veal was cooked in over-burned butter! We are familiar with anthentic Northern Italian food and it was a serious disappointment. We felt bad for service people who were very sweet and pro. This restaurant used be much better quality before they moved, so chef must have been changed.

This place is a must!
I live right around the corner and boy am I thankful for that. Pinocchio is a tiny but very cozy ristorante with incredibly fresh and delicious Italian food. The service is great. Everything was perfect from the appetizers to the wine to the food to the atmosphere. Note: 10% discount if the check is paid in cash. Also, probably wise to make a reservation on the weekends - this place is a neighborhood gem!

Great Food...stay for dessert
I have been to Pinocchio's twice in the past year and both times the food and service were great. We were greeted and seated almost immediately. The clams, risotto (special) and chicken scarpariello are outstanding. The last time I was there, my fiancé and I were persuaded to stay for dessert and it was well worth it. The homemade cheesecake (light and airy) and Napoleon were some of the best I have ever had.
