Just had dinner here tonight. The atmosphere was nice and casual. Our waitress was pleasant and took our order promptly. But, but after she took our order she never return till we finish our entree because she realize we didn't get our appetizer for more than 30 minutes. I order for appetizer escargot and my friend had the crabcake special but no one ever came by to apologize to let us know that the kitchen was busy or whatever. She looked our way but never came by to let us know what the problem was. Why is it always they're afraid to come by and let customer know what's going on if something is delay and then never show up again and expecting a good tip? I know they don't control the kitchen pick up order but what is a customer to do to let them know they screwed up. Tip accordingly!

The 'Pony' is a beloved place for many in the neighborhood, watched over by Phyllis (wife of 'Lucien') and her young waitstaff. Their steak au poivre is really marvelous, or try the special of the day- maybe a stew? Lingering is encouraged and many do. The warm and timeless atmosphere (photos and art everywhere) and gentle lighting are seductive.
